I certainly wouldn't claim to know him, but I remember him fondly from a long time ago when I was involved in youth football at Bury. He always struck me as a 'part of the furniture' a decent bloke with the club's best interests at heart. That was 20 odd years ago though, and since then he's gotten involved in the murky world of representing footballers and perhaps got a bit ' billy big time' following the success of his 3 children, Mase isn't the first to share this sentiments about his public persona in recent years.
But what I do know is that it's highly unlikely Bury fc would be around in its current form today had it not been for his hard work through some of the club's darkest days.
Sad news for his family, and for fans of bury football club
Don't try to be so condescendingly superior and judgemental.
Over the last couple of years I've lost both my Mum and Dad, last April I lost my sister-in-law in ghastly circumstances after a fourteen month battle against lung cancer and last month, I lost my best friend who committed suicide after a long period of depression.
These were all thoroughly decent and genuine people. On that basis, I'm making no apologies for hardening my heart and honestly expressing my opinion, which I still feel I have the right to do.
I am, however, deeply sorry if anyone doesn't like it, but it's still my opinion.
