Is that Sergio's fault or just that he's not getting the support with only him upfront?

I think that's a really good point. When we have possession in and around the oppos box Silva is in there with him looking for one two's, sometimes Yaya (his goal against Chelsea) sometimes nasri. Yesterday we never really managed to get numbers in and around him regularly enough.

Yep , in the win versus Chelsea Aguero played very well but every other game so far this season with or without Merlin he has been utter dogshit so that argument just doesn't stand up for sure !
Maybe I'm clutching at straws but Aguero thrives on goals and comes alive when he has found the back of the net ........ he should have the perfect opportunity next Saturday with Newcastle visiting the Etihad , I for one truely hope so !
Not really here

I actually think the Dann challenge has got to him a bit as well. Every week he gets booted up and down the field and the Dann one was particularly bad. I think it's knocked his confidence big time.

You can't fault his effort but he doesn't look fit to me. I don't think he had enough holiday after the Copa America. He needs a break, in my humble opinion.

I agree with that. The problem is both Bony and Nacho are injured so it's difficult to rest him.

I agree, but if a player is not fit, he should not be playing. This applies to everyone in the squad. Get an EDS striker in until one of them is fit or play without a striker.

Mentioned this is the OP. He needs a break and it could be detrimental to our season to continue to play him at the moment whilst he is out of sorts

Maybe Sterling should go up top. He isn't too effective on the left at the moment. Nasri could play on the left.

Get Tevez in on an emergency loan.

I don't think he's 100% fit as I feel is the same with Sterling. Like Fernando last season.

Most professional athletes try to play with some pain, unless your name is Jovetic, but it can affect their performance. My wild no real evidence to go on based guess is that when he puts pressure on the knee that was injured via planting the foot on that leg to twist, turn, or shoot, it may cause enough pain to make him perhaps wince ever so slightly, but not noticeable to observers, which would likely interfere with the quality of the end product.

Otherwise it's a confidence thing, but that strikes me as something we've never seen with Kun really so something makes me doubt that.

Hopefully we can give he and Sterling a rest during the next International break.

England has qualified so Sterling does not need to play, but Argentina has 2 WC qualifiers (already?!?) and will be without Messi so they will likely want to play him, although they do still have Tevez and Higuian.

Fingers crossed.

Bony and Nacho are also not fit, so perhaps it would be best to rest/bench all three and play a 4-6-0 like last season until all is sorted..
The reason why I think it worked last season is because the midfielders knew then that the onus was on them alone to score, or bust.

Exactly this situation we find ourselves in , is why i didn't want us to move Edin on.

The Spafia and Pellegrini need a good slap around the ear for their stupidity.

We go into a critical game on wednesday in disarray. Yet we have allowed a proven ,quality goal scorer ( not just for City!), in his prime to go on sabbatical in Italy.

I'm sure that Edin too would have got his head to the second spuds goal.

Doesn't look match fit. After this Copa America he's fucked, Sanchez was shit too until this week. Aguero was getting there then got a knock at Palace, looks like needs more time to get there, but Bony would need a month on the pitch to regain match sharpness, so Aguero has to play. Hope he stays fit and in two weeks is back on it.
Also Navas has been a cunt to him all season, everytime he cuts inside instead of squaring it to Aguero for a tap in he shoots instead and he's shit at it.

(Edin is out injured for a month... )

Not completely true about Navas, he has his own problems that are well documented in here, but he has laid some on for Sergio only for him to miss hit the ball.
His timing has been off even when it is played in to him. That's not Navas's fault.

Spot on Sergio, has missed sitters against Juve WHUFC going back to Chelsea he miss-kicked from 4 yrds out. Navas is a pass short of being top draw, but he has served up up some great chances this season. Sergio should be in double figures.

Not sure if mentioned but when you play with one up front instead of two the striker gets crowded out.

Got a knock!, that dirty palace cunt tried to amputate his leg, only for that he would be in top form. But he will get back to his best.

He is carrying an injury and only 75% fit because of it. Give him 2 to 3 weeks he will be back at it. Shame Kelechi isn't fit to give him a break
It may be my last year as a season ticket holder as it just doesn't seem the same with so few English and local players (but I said that last year)
