And the ones I see at work are honest about their club and team.

I am asking because their transfer activity this summer was very low, under the radar. I am thinking they have a smart management, if they relegate, they will now have overpaid mercenaries that will put them into a financial bad situation, but with almost the same squad, they can come back right in, however, look how that worked for Burnley.
Sunderland, too bad for Pants, Watford/Bournmouth and Villa. I think it is time for Villa to go down. I am sad for their fans, City ex-players and so on, but they are a joke of a team that occupies a spot in the Premier that they do not deserve.

dunno how much they got for coming up or when they get it...but i'd guess it's perhaps 30-40M, don't you think?
WRT their transfers iirc they bought their two most expensive players in their history and probably spent on the order of 20M or so i bet. Not exactly small considering their size. And i'd bet that with Prem-style wage bills they didn't squirrel away tens of millions and not invest it.
cheers

The money bournemouth got for promotion is irrelevant as they are owned by a rich backer maxim denim who has Russian money.
They are also ran by Jeff Mostyn who is a lifelong City fan.

Yes, but logically, they would buy someone that can help them stay up, Callum Wilson was a surprise and his replacement Glen Murray. Imagine trying to stay up with Glen Murray up front. They need to have a good run until january and then buy someone who can score. You can argue he scored this week, but when he was really needed, he missed a huge pen.

i'm sorry...they bought their two most expensive signings ever, who are not both injured and i think out for the season, right?
i'm not sure where you can fault their transfer logic in spending on some mid-table quality at never before seen prices for their club.
cheers

I agree
