If Pellers is right that there is a tiredness in the main 13 players being used then it's quite simple that he shouldnt be using them all the time...but we know he will.

Do we rest KDB our best player for the Swans game? Silva will play as he is still coming back and getting fitness.I think Sterling could do with a good rest but I am actually not sure we have the players in the EDS ready for the job at the moment.

For wide players we might have thought of Roberts or Barker but on in injured and one on loan. In central midfield we could have had Fofana,Ntcham,Evans or Bryan. 3 on loan and one injured. We do have Celina or Garcia but I think both are not ready and a bit light weight for this one.Up top we have no real options with the great decision not to include kelechi in the squad.

The players I personally might include would be Maffeo but we actually have 3 full backs or Tosin/Humphries at center back. The way Demis has been performing I would consider one of them if the Mangler isnt fit.

Cruel but true. I assume Otamendi and Mangala( back from suspension). Personally I'd keep Bony on the bench and flood the midfield but I dare say Pellegrini won't agree.

I think for those who aren't concerned about the Champs League they need a reality check. Sheikh Mansour bought the club with the object of promoting a brand world wide. Playing in Europe gives him the best single way of doing that.

As regards tomorrows game I shall be going as I did the last time we played MG in EUFA cup back in 1976/77.

We lost that one at home so it's time for revenge!

I call this a grudge match

Was it not 2-2? Vague memories of that as a little lad. I will be there too tomorrow. I hope there is a good crowd. It's not too expensive and it's good to watch s game without the nerves as we are already through

A couple of our kraut munching friends will be there tomorrow, make sure you give them a good welcome and show them what a real crowd is all about.

Went to that. Didn't they have Alan Simonsen who was then European footballer of the year.
I loved European nights in those days when it was exotic and a rarity.

That's right , Simonsen. Nicky Reids debut I think , too. It was around this time that the wheels started to fall off for Tony Book. We'd beaten AC Milan 5-2 on aggregate in an earlier round.

Then Mal came back ..............

These cunts have not lost a single league game since we beat them in the CL and that includes a 3-1 win over Bayern at the weekend. The way we are playing 2nd place in the CL group is probably the best we can hope for.

Sadly true. We need a performance and lots of energy and it doesn't help if the manager is telling them they are tired. I do hope he goes into the game with the right tactical thinking and doesnt revert back to yaya in a holing role if he is fit enough to play. He wouldn't do that would he?

Pellers lack of a tweak to get the game on an even keel is becoming the biggest issue for me, Stoke was his classic stance for him, do NOTHING, not acceptable, AS WE WERE BANG IN TROUBLE FROM THE FIRST WHISTLE ! I maintain 0-4 he would have been fired, Tonight could be a very long night as they keep the ball for fun and Counter attack almost had us hammered in Germany, but for Hart saving 5 1v1 situations.

Ah... happy days...
Everyone playing for the team.

Then Madness.

1.5 Million for the world renowned Steve Daley from Wolves. 1 Million for the magnificent Reeves from Norwich (just after Cloughie had paid a million for the briliant Trevor Francis!!) Were did the time go? Off we went into the wilderness.....

I think, FUCK YOU FOXTEL is the theme of this match.

Not only is the game on bein which I'd have to pay extra for, but the live game is the fucking rags and rather than let one of the other channels have the City game, they've put it on delayed telecast. ESPN are showing PSV vs CSKA because of the huge dutch and russian population in australia...all three of them.
