I very briefly had a read of the forum last Tuesday, saw the thread then without thinking arranged to go out and sunk 10 pints then rushed back home in time for kick off with a few of the boys, royally pissing the wife off in the process (it was 11.45pm) and was completely confused in my drunken state, as to why the fucking game wasn't on the telly.

And until now I'd completely forgot that it was this thread responsible for me thinking the game was last week.

I really hope this is true!

100% true, it was also true that I had a hangover from hell the day after and fucked work off.

I honestly don't know when I last looked at the fixtures, cos of the time difference and doing 12-15 hour work days in the week, it's usually a matter of how fucked I am midweek as to whether I stay up and watch a game, so If i feel like I might be up for a late night and I don't hear anything on the news or radio, I usually just check on here on a Tuesday or Wednesday to see if there's a match thread or something.

I cannot believe how much trouble this post caused!

Sorry to be responsible for your hangover Sparty, and getting you into trouble with the wife....I am happy to take blame if it helps :)

I was genuinely convinced the game was last Wednesday though, I will be more careful in future. I don't like being responsible for domestic disputes

I would love to see a post match reaction thread from some teams, especially when they get screwed and we win.(although on balance, fuck you Everton)

I just had a look at the match thread and it's now 246 pages. Most of the post match stuff is what you would expect. I did find one piece of common sense:

City had 19 attempts to 4 and hit the post twice. Yes they were awarded a goal that definitely should have been disallowed but they have a case in saying that Barkleys goal should have been disallowed also... We weren't robbed by the officials we were never going to withstand their assault the way we set up, as in the same way we set up every match and with (it hurts to say this) Leon Osman as a passenger, cleverly on the pitch and our first choice RB warming the bench so stones could be shoe horned into the team.

If anyone has the time and wants to delve a little deeper, here is the link:

I've moved on to what the Villa fans are thinking :)

Yeah f8ck them it was all one way traffic in the second half as they looked dead on their feet.

I love the way Pellers was asking where was our justice in the league game when we should have got a blatant peno.. so f&ck them!

Fair play to Stones though on not putting his hand up as if he had then the linesman would have flagged. I think that Stones played a blinder overall.

Wow the conspiracy theories on that toffee forum makes this place look like a novice. There are a couple of sane people on there but not that many.

It is what it is, second half was set out all wrong, city have battered us and deaerve it. Bunch of bottlers. Bobby can get to [Poor language removed] now

Load of one eyed. Whingers. The officials robbed them. Sterling offside for the first, ball out for the second, Aguero offside for the third. KDB faking it, our players trying to get theirs carded. Ycmiu. If Sterling was off then so was Lukaku in the first leg. No arguments with the second and third was that close it could have gone either way but little mention of the Navas penalty from the first leg and Aguero wasn't fouled for the first!!! Wtf? Martinez really is at the right club.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

What's with the Liverpool Echo. Every time we play red or blue scouse, it's full of all the nasty things that City fans have supposedly done. It always seems to involve disabled kids. Seems odd to me, I've never seen any of this stuff going on, even on derby day.
