When Fernando is there, I'd say it gives Fernandinho more chance to get forward, knowing there is some protection behind. At the same time it's solid without the ball.

Considering who's out injured, it's probably the starting 11 I'd have started with. Although I'd have Sterling on the right.

I agree with this. Two "sitting" midfielders is only needed if you have very attacking fullbacks like we did under Mancini. And even then it was slightly too negative.
