I am not much good at sensing goals for us.

I am excellent at sensing penalties though.
Particularly when I watch an MU match, at Old Trafford, whenever MU are in trouble....
Also good at sensing penalties for Spurs (and offside goals to)....

I think when you've watched/played football for a long time (or other ball sports) your brain gets used to calculating outcomes and trajectories and angles so you see the possibility of a goal and as the possibility plays itself out the anticipation grows until the ball goes in or the chance ends.
