With a title run in and the last 8 of the Champions League beckoning, an injury to our number one could have been fatal to everything if Willy had been dropped for that final, as he would have been decimated by the lack of trust. Rumour has it Mancini's breaking of his word to Pantilimon was the last straw in him losing the dressing room and that crap show against Wigan. Whilst Pantilimon didn't put a foot wrong - and would probably have just plucked the winning header out of the air instead of flapping around like a starfish as Hart did - Willy couldn't really complain if he had been dropped.

There isn't a lot of room for that sentiment at the top of football. Luckily, as the Great Bard said - All's well that ends well!
