Was found seriously wanting when Suarez left. He may win the league at Celtic, but realistically that is the bare minimum requirement at present. They will beat Gibraltor at Parkhead but make no mistake that Wednesdays result was an unmitigated disaster and it will come back to bite him in the future

If they beat Lincoln Red Imps at Parkhead, wouldn't that mitigate the result?

I think that although it would mean the result as a one off didn't ultimately matter as they would've progressed, it has put him in the spotlight immediately and not in a favourable way. When things get tough, that defeat will always be trotted out by Celtic fans and the fans of Rangers must have been pissing themselves. A bit like when the rags lost to Midgetland. They went through the tie but their reputation suffered as a result of the first leg loss

Not to put too fine a point on it....mitigated.

More to the point, lets hope he plays for 90 minutes, not 2 or 3 and doesn't discreetly hide from potential passes behind the oppo midfielder!

Im still annoyed we let him go for 2 fucking years.

He should be challenging Navas and sterling for a starting spot.

I know it's Celtic and the opposition was not of great caliber, but on recent viewings of himself and Barker I would put Roberts well ahead in the pecking order. Pity he's not around to challenge.

Well thats just not true.

He had an attitude problem, and part of it showed in his poor stamina - he clearly didn't apply himself in training and as a result could only last around an hour in matches at Premier league pace. He should have been ashamed of himself calling himself a professional.

AJ did one decent thing a match and thought that was enough. What's he done since leaving? Says it all...

Here's another great example of Scottish football.
Malta itself has a smaller population that Edinburgh, and Birkirkara is a town of just over 20k people.
The level of football in Malta could be realistically described as very enthusiastic amateur.

Hate the snide comments here from posters re Rodgers.
Dammed if he does, dammed if he does not.
Most of just willing and hoping he will fail.
He is at a new club, a decent club.
He is trying the rebuild himself after making a tit of himself at Liverpool.
BTW Klopp is making the same mistakes, all the BS about history.

My advise, be rational about Rodgers.
If you are going to post be objective.

Right now your posts make as much sense as Rodgers did at Liverpool.

Whatever stick the Brodge gets, he deserves it in spades . He is so far up his own arse, he thinks he is so good and the shit he spouts just makes no sense at times. You can play bullshit bingo at his press conference with the buzz word bollocks he says at every one.
