Also, I really dislike our kits since we are working with Nike. They are horrific, maybe the quality is good, but the aspects is terrible. They look like they are made in paint.

Quality is shit. Shirts snag as soon as you look at them.

Seconded. They're fine for signing and framing, and that's about it. And that's only if it's signed with a soft enough pen.

I know we wouldn't have actually had an offer like this before the take over, but imagine if we had.

Those days when Wardle was paying wages out of his own pocket, would we have sold our soul to the (red) devil for £50 million?

I think we would. Pre-take over we were extremely close to being a Leeds/Bolton/Oldham

I really like those - just make the home one a tad lighter (the same blue as on the Score Draw 60s retro shirts), and you're onto a winner.

Bit of a rhetorical question but, if the Scum were offered a huge sponsorship deal which entailed them changing to light blue, what would they do ??

I really don't know with that - I honestly have no idea how attached the 'regular' attendees at games are to the colour. Obviously with their massive fanbase abroad in countries/cultures where red is associated with good luck and fortune, it might have a massive impact. As we saw a few seasons ago, their 'green and gold' campaign got a decent gathering (for a short while, at least).

Also, to counter with another question: If the Sheikh turned around tomorrow and said "Sorry guys, but the light blue isn't doing it for me any more", and opened a public consultancy on what colour we should change to, what would people on here do? Vote for another colour (and, if so, which one(s)) or hold a 'light blue or bust' protest?

Crikey, that would be awful; too awful to contemplate.

The only possible concession that I, personally, wouldn't mind too much would be if we changed to something like Black and Light blue stripes, so we still retained an element of our historical colour, as well as being a reference to our Black and Red striped kit in which we won the 1970 Cup Winners Cup.

Other than that, it would be a nightmare scenario for me.
