Edin Dzeko on the other hand though.... we are desperate for that kind of player. Now HE was seriously underrated.

While he been in form recently, he's also produced some incredible misses at his time there:

Wouldn't want Negredo back since he was only good for a few months, but those months were great. Goals like this stick out to me:

His assist for Milner away to fulham was sensational. He was great during that purple patch, as good a performance as i have seen from a number 9 in my time watching city, he was absolutly dogshit after that.

Begs the question has aguero ever done well with a partner, Negredo for a few weeks aside. Id love to see two up top for a change, too easy for defenders to mark one esp when our midfielders dont get in the box,

Likewise.

When we play Chelsea especially, I'm sure their 'back three' will become a sitting back five for this game (with a defensive midfielder in front of them), so it's a lot to ask of Sergio to try and carry the load up front alone.

Eventually, at some point in the not too distant future, I hope we would adopt a 4-3-3 formation against most sides, irrespective of who they are.

Be as it may, he knew where the onion bag is.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I just watched the highlights from the City vs. Chelsea game from 2012.
We started with Kun and Balotelli up front, but ended up subbing on Tevez and Dzeko as well chasing the winner.
Kun + Ian just isn't close to the fire power we had then.

Amen to that.

If we had players of that calibre and number available today, then I'm sure that all our concerns about our suspect defence would dissipate.

The trouble is...Ian isn't getting game time so we don't know !!
