Hart, Zaba, Silva...going back Weaver, Andy Morrison, Dickov to name a few that didn't come through our ranks. They love the club.

Which academy did Goater come through? Who do you think he supports now?!

Who's to say that just because you come through the ranks of a club that means you give a shit more than if you don't? Duncan Ferguson - what tattoo has he got on him and what academy did he come through?

What Nige is saying is that most of those players don't give a shit about Manchester City. You don't have to come through our academy to give a shit about pulling on the shirt!

Absolutely. Look at the dippers and all the hangers on they have. Dalglish doesn't care about them? Aldridge? Barnes? Souness? Lawro?

Chelsea have Lampard and Zola to name just two.

The rags will have a good number, Yorke, Cole, Schmeical, Irwin et all

To say players don't care about or love a club they join is ridiculous

Apary from Goat I don't think any of them REALLY love the club. Were we important part of their careers and do they therefore have aoft spot for us? Sure. Did they all their absolute everything for the club and earn every penny of their contract? Yes, sir. Love though.... I don't know.

Anyway, most of the current lot aren't earning quarter of their salary and that's unacceptable.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Dickov has a season ticket for City and takes his kids to the games. His kids now support City. You don't think he loves the club? Really?

You don't think Zaba loves the club?

Zabs might be the only player that comes to mind that would play for free here if we were bankrupt.

Zaba is really something else. Cult hero without any doubt and legend.

Kevin Horlock and Ian Bishop are another two. Horlock and Bish love a bit of rag baiting.

You telling me VK doesn't love the club and Joe Hart didn't. Joe Hart will be heartbroken about how things have turned out.

So, anyway, does it matter if we have a few players that have loved our club or loves it right now? Isn't what matters that they actually earn their paycheck? Or am I missing something?

I don't think the players, bar some, don't give a damn. I'd say it seems like they either have no clue what they are supposed to do or that there's some sort of rift behind the scenes that's disturbing everyone.

Yes you're missing something - the chance of them earning their pay cheque increases if they are emotionally invested in the club they're playing for. Which ties in with Pep's comments about how the problems are in the player's heads rather than the style of football he is asking them to play.

On a related note, it's early days but I think Nolito looks like becoming one of those 'emotionally invested' players too.

Which most of them won't be and some of them will be. Regardless if they are or not they need to do their best. And so forth.

Jeesus you people are fooling yourself if you think any of these guys care half as much about the Club as we do.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Don't you know Devante Cole came through our academy and loves the club. So much so that he's always talking about us..

Fucktarded thread.

"I just want them to love the club".

Snap out of it. It's football. We want high workrate and skill. The players who are not at the level required will be replaced.

We have problems at the minute, no doubt about it. By all means disect these problems and give possible solutions...

But pipe down with this absolute horseshit. You need a hug not a fucking football forum.

No. It's because they do it PROFESSIONALLY. Do you LOVE your employer? You are, I'm sure, emotionally attached to them and hopefully give your all but I doubt you love them.

Like I said, I'm sure some of them who have been here longer are FOND of the Club. But love?

I don't think tevez loved the club or the city.

I couldn't give a flying fuck because he gave it all on the pitch and was a very skilled footballer.

The end.

You think he LOVED the club and the city?

Come on mate.

He had love for neither and couldn't wait to get out.

He did however give his all on the pitch.

Thats ALL that matters.

I think he hates Bob but I think there was some love toward the club mate. When I went on the tour years back the guy said that the club did everything they could for Carlos. They knocked two boxes in to one big one for his family. I genuinely believe his best years were at City and he had some love toward the fans and the club. No saying he adored us or owt.
