In my opinion.

I will have a tenner on Watford winning 26 nil .

kolarov would score a free kick, so 11-26.

Nice team, don't fancy the RB though.

Bravo or Caballero (neither good enough)
Sagna - stones - otamendi - kolarov
Debruyne - Fernandinho - silva
Sterling - aguero - nolito

Switches due to suspensions:
Aguero -> nacho
Fernandinho -> Delph / yaya/ fernando

Standard Subs:

Pretty much, overlapping full backs, essentially the tactics(with full backs into midfield at times) that won us the first 10 games.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont think 442 suits us in any mix of players. We dont have the 2 central midfielders who are good enough to play a 442. We can still play 433, just the tactics need to change.

Bravo

Stones - Ottamendi - Kolorov - Clichy

DeBruyne - Gundogan - Silva

Yaya - Sterling

Nacho

Get Stones out of centre back untill we have a senior CB who can organise the back line. Flat back 4, no need for fullbacks moving ahead of the ball.

Midfield 3 have reduced goalscoring responsibilities. Just stay compact and work as a unit.

Goalscoring left to front 3 with some late runs into the box from DeBruyne or Gundogan if the opposition have deopped back to defend. Min of 3 always stay back plus 2 of the midfielders stay behind the ball.

Genuine question:

Do you lot think Kolarov is a pure and simple mercenary who gives a flying fuck only about his wages or a player that loves the club?

Would Vardy fit our style of play, he has the running power aggression, gets his goals and is Premier league ready.

If Stones were ever to play at RB then it would have to be Stones, Sagna, Otter, Kolarov. And thats far from a championship winning back 4.
We should look at Evertons Coleman in Janurary, plus the lad from Southampton, Be better than what we have short term.

Coleman is a good shout, as good a right full as you will get and at right stage of career. Its makes a lot of sense. Van Dijk im unsure of, another player like stones, who beenfits from having an old experienced head beside him, not sure he would last long in our kamikaze system.

Actually I am with Mase. I think Kolarov cares about the club, but (imho) he is lazy.

I am curious how people see him

Passing through ! A player once asked Buzzer what advice would you give me, "Be selfish" we all get the curly finger one day, that's football hero and gone. I loved Trevor Francis, but have never ever thought he remembers the love we had for him. Quinn ! Beagrie Walsh,

Quinn is a weird fish for me. Never understood what we actually did to him that he is so radical on Sky. Or maybe this is the job description at Sky. Be biased against City, or be sacked.

I just think Stones needs to be protected and encouraged at the moment. He also needs to be next to the main orgniser of the defence hence ottomendi plsying the right of the cb's. Kolorov and clichy know each other well enough that they should be able to link ok.

Of course this is all predicated on Pep changing tact and employing more defenisive/balanced tactics.

The reality is for the next few games, teams will not be sitting back against us playing for a nil nil. Teams will rightfully be playing for 3 points. We wont need 7/8 players pushing into the opposition box trying to find a break through. We can play a flat defensive back 4 and a sitting mid and still have enough with 4/5 only going forward

At present the players we've got have proved that they just can't play 3 at the back, and that includes cover, so until we get the personnel to do it, or get the current bunch to play it effectively, then 4 it should be.

Would any of the youngsters we have be able to play it better?
