Pre Watford At Home Massive Game

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Pep is proven, knows what he wants and will get it done if it takes time so be it. Moaning and leaving early what's new we had that when we won the league some fucktards only want to moan. 4-0 up and 10,000 have fucked off, this manager is the best, our owner has got him. About time the old happy City fans turned up and did there bit. Make it hard for the opposition not our own fucking team.

We'll win 6-0. Maffeo, Tosin and Angelino together with Sagna will protect Willy. Delph, Garcia and Silva will provide the midfield protection and creativity and Nacho and Nolito will assist each other in getting hat-tricks in a 4-1-3-2 set-up.

What?

Pep is proven Hazy2 but the way we are playing and set up makes the whole situation even more perplexing for us fans . He knows he has become massively under pressure the last few days lets all hope he and the team come out fighting tonight for everyones sake .

Take Yaya out for Nolito for me. Let's get some proper width back to stretch them lines of defence.

The way he likes to play football and the success he has had doing it is surely the very reason he was so coveted and why we have chased him for a while and were thrilled when we got our man. Is it not?

Why then would we want him to change after just a few months?

I don't think it's change per se, more adapt until he has the players to change.

He is right to stick to principles in the long run. I fully get and understood the frustration with our current issues, Hell, I'm as vocal as anyone on match day after a bad performance but in the cold light of day what he is trying to achieve will take time.

Let's assume that six or seven of the current set up will be in his plans for next year and beyond. Surely it's better to continue with the system you believe in and know to have worked previously, for the benefit of the players that will be part of the team next year so they are fully up to speed by then?

I suspect as long as we finish in the CL places and have a decent CL run, then that will be acceptable to the hierarchy as a base to improve on. He has time regardless of what is portrayed by the rag tops.

A few wins over Xmas and everything will have a different perspective

To be fair, he has also said "I will be sacked unless I turn results around quickly at Man City"

As others have eluded to, his start was far greater than we expected and we're now paying for that i guess.

Personally i have gone in to limp mode, reverting back to pre-take over, i expect us to lose and anything more is a bonus, until he sorts his shit out.

I just miss the great football we've come to enjoy..............

It's such a pity the rest of the PL don't play like cowed Spanish or German teams.

Not at all. But basically saying I'll do what I want and if you don't like it then sack me ("the chairman will decide") 100% does.

Sorry mate, I don't buy that. I don't think anybody would say stick with the same system with the same players who've proved they cannot utilise it. We all understand the way he wants to play, we all want to see it but if by doing so meant we lost game after game then you'd have to be fucking bonkers.

Now, if he starts winning with the system as the players get it then fuck yeah, but as it is he needs to give his head a wobble.

You never know, he may play the same system tonight and at the weekend but is anybody confident of 6 points, even 4?

But we knew all of that when we appointed him.

You don't buy a performance car then moan about the MPG. Pep is in the top few managers in the world and we appointed him for the reasons he became that manager. I don't think myself we can judge or criticise a new manager after barely four months in the job too much.

I get that Beefy. But in how many games have we been outplayed other than the Leicester one? Not many. We've had a bit of bad luck in others, missed penalties and goalscoring opportunities and silly defensive errors in others and downright corrupt officiating in others. That's not necessarily the 'systems' fault, just individual errors which can happen at any time.
