I can honestly say I haven't got a scooby what he's going to do. But looking at the personnel available I'm turning up early, just in case.

I'd have yaya, silva and kdb all in there with Sterling and nolito wide and nacho up top.

With all those attacking players Ian won't get so isolated and with all the ball players we'll have plenty of ball.

So would Wenger I suspect, that midfield would be suicidal.

Exactly , huge huge problem . It is sort of anyone but Arsenal with the players we have available in midfield for sunday . Maybe we should park the bus and try and hit them on the break type scenario ? cant see Pep going there though with his stubborn ways to be honest .

City park the bus!! That has to be a joke doesn't it?

Haha with what we have available in midfield it has to be an option to "stifle" Arsenal but we all know it wont happen which is why I am very worried the "Arse" are going to rip us a new one !

Will be interesting to see whether Delph and/or Garcia make the bench or the starting XI. With 2 key midfielders out we'll know whether Guardiola fancies them for this season or whether he thinks they can fuck off, or in the case of Delph just hang around as a homegrown until a better option appears. Can't see why he wouldn't want to use Garcia though, but also why he hasn't made some meaningful use of him already.

It's all about Arsenal isn't it? If Wenger goes with that 'player revolt' performance when they parked the bus and then picked us off, they'll surely do it again.

If he goes with his natural instincts we'll most likely piss all over them.

For me Yaya and F2 are almost certs. Whether he tries Zabba in midfield as well with Sagna RB is a debatable one. possibly with Yaya further forward.

Gonna be messy regardless.

I'd go with this but think Pep may well put Stones with Otter, move Kola out left and drop Clichy. Id prefer to stick with yours WW.
I don't like Kola at LB.
would prefer him CB in a 442 and nowhere near a 343.

I think the Chelsea game with kola in a back 3 showed he shouldn't go anywhere near that team again. Pep knows that he can't live with pace so don't put him in that situation. Also on last night, success has pace to burn and started on theIraq right, but was told to switch and target zaba which he did very well and zaba got booked as he was struggling. Pep saw this and brought on Navas to help him and after there there was very little success.

Zabba was fucked last 10 mins , played well though and gives us some steel that we used to have in abundance .

On the point about the Navas substitution.
My young lad couldn't understand why it was made and Sterling being moved from the right.
I explained pretty much as you put it above and indeed that is how it panned out.

I'm the same Doug. Thought Fernando did a decent job when he came on and has done for the majority of the season. I'm fairly certain we've won the majority when he's played from the start and only the likes of Spurs and Leicester, where they were a collective failure, could be considered poor performances.

I'd love a goals comparison for when he plays for and against. I've lost count of how many times we've brought him in and been far worse than the game prior.

Although not really representative due to being a sub for many, had a look the stats the other day and out of 16 games (including last night's) we had shipped in 10 goals while he was on the pitch but 4 of them were against Leicester. Can't really take that game away but 6 goals in 15 appearances is not that bad really.

Just had another look and out of the 16 appearances we've lost 3 and drawn 2, 11 wins. Losses against Spurs, Rags (LC) and Leicester, draws against Celtic (CL).

Not the best player in the world but can do a job. For 14 mil, and replacement for Garcia, I don't expect that much anyway.

Stones has to be back in the side i feel.

Aleks anywhere near Alexis, even on the same pitch, feels like a fucking death wish.

Nolito has to be in the side i feel. Fernando has to as well ffs.

i'm waffling between oddly optimistic and realistically bricking it about Sunday.

Whatever side he picks...if they're up for it and play their roles we will have a fun match. We do what we did vs Leicester we'll get dicked 4-2 at best.

cheers

4-6-0 on Saturday

Bravo
Sagna, Stones, Otter, Kolarov
Navas, Yaya, Fernando, Nolito, KDB, Sterling

Navas and Nolito providing cover for the full backs. KDB and Sterling to swap and interchange the False 9 role. I know there's no Silva but I think we see KDB better through the middle without Silva. This is a game we can't afford to lose and I know that's a defensive outlook but we still have players on the field who are attack minded who can nick a goal. More importantly, it should nullify the threat from Arsenals engine room.

Take a shitty 0-0 right now
