Let's be honest, Pep was brought in 'to conquer Europe". If we don't qualify for it in the first place then it can only go down as a huge failure. It will be three years at least to get back to the place we started off from, that needed improving!

Conte saw that we were exploiting Chelsea system in the first half,we were the better side.

Then we saw some ""PRAGMATISIM"" unfortunately not from us.............

He brought on Matic shut up Shop, let us have the possession we are obsessed with.Saw out the game and won.

We on the other hand just tried to rinse + repeat our first half wiithout success.Plan B for us is simply wait until the 80th minute to make a Sub.

Will be glad when this season is over.

If the Ego tried being more ""PRAGMATIC"" occasionaly we might learn how to defend leads etc.

The only reason Conte had the luxury of being pragmatic and putting Matic on for Zouma is because they were already a goal ahead.

Why were they a goal ahead? Despite how well we were playing we still only put one in the net and gave our customary two goal gift at the other end.

Once Chelsea shut up shop we were never getting anything out of that game no matter who he put on.

Answer is EVERY FUCKIGN GAME!!...a fuckign joke he has been this season and he makes Pellegrini look like a world beater....certainly better than PEP is up to now.

Pellegrini is better than Pep ! I know it's straight after a defeat but behave

well pellegrini did win the prem and league cup in his first year, and we also scored more goals, this side wants to have more passing then going forward

He should go full on about the refs. It was fucking disgusting tonight. Not only do they fuck us over during the match but it ensures our players get wound up and pick up cards near the ends of games, screwing us over in subsequent games when they get suspensions.

Yes I'm seriously fucking annoyed that pellegrini won the league and league cup in his first season and that in his last season even though he knew he was being kicked out by the club had the audacity to win the league cup. I for one as a city fan for over 40 years will never forgive him - cunt.

Pep played a huge part in our downfall this season, him and bent decisions.

Last night we lost our first league game with Willy in goal. Amazing stats if you consider how many points we lost because of his stubborness with Bravo. We are going fast towards a very poor season with no trophies (with Bravo in goal we have small chances winning the Cup), while filth, as shit and bent as they are, could win 3 this year.

My major issue with Guardiola is his arrogance. He managed to fuck our defence and attack in a way I could never imagine. We are really living a dream if we think we have a good attack, we don't. We are very poor in front of goal and lack the precision under Pellegrini (it was off then also, but not like this).

Our defence is a joke because our players are old and mediocre, I get that, but the constant rotation is what is fucking us. As I said, the worst thing about Stones is that he does not plays on a regular mode. That will help him grow as a footballer and will just hold him back. Beside that, he needed to play alongside Otamendi, a constant ticking bomb in our defence. He makes Mangala look like Beckenbauer ffs.

While he rotated the fuck of our defence, he did the opposite with Silva, Fern, Tin Tin, Aguero and lately Sane. Where the fuck is Nolito? Did you lot remember him and his impact? What about Ian? Remember that player in our squad? The last two games I redescovered Navas. Maybe Fernado will come also from holiday and play a bit. Fernandinho is tired as fuck.

Also the tactics are fuckall. Pass, pass and pass. No back up plan, possesion 80 % every game, but we fail to stop any counters. This can go on and on. He seems like he doesn't listen to anyone around us. I think Brian Kidd tried to help him, but from the start Pep distanced him and put a barrier. Mister Knows it all fucked up big, he was convinced he will come and change everything, instead now he needs all the help he can get.

What worries me is that teams come to our place and do not give a fuck. The fort is gone.

I am not that confidence in ~what will happen this summer~. Nolito, Stones, Bravo where Pep signings and look where we are.

He needs to take out his carrot from his ass and start realising what is actually happening.

I think Fernandinho has been poor since returning h from his last suspension. Yes he has been tried at full back and that not worked but think his energy levels have dropped since start of season for recent games aswell.

Sad to say, this is my feeling too - he was found wanting on several occasions last night and the trip on Pedro was inexcusable - a game changer.

Well you're not allowed to say it, but I think Fernandinho has had a pretty poor season in the main.
Fernando is surely going.
Sadly Yaya will probably be gone too.
Silva will need replacing pretty soon. Not only do we need a keeper, at least two full backs and a centre half, but also a new midfield.

Great first half, very disappointing second. Thought we should've done Delph/yaya navas/sterling at the hour mark. Costa should've had 3 yellow cards and it frustrated me to fuck that bt sport were just going "wahey, he's got away with one there!"

No arguments on the penalty.

But what ultimately let us down was a problem we've had for 2 seasons now, we didn't take our chances.

We were always up against it last night, no matter how much the media made out it was a huge game. It wasn't.

Anyway, we've got the big teams out of the way, now we just concentrate on getting fourth minimum and go all out for the cup.

not sure Pellegrini is to blame for the situatution but i agree with this completely. Uphill for anyone who took this job.

Pellers changed Mancin'si borefest side in one summer, to one of the most exciting we'd ever seen. That side gave us our first double in forty years and managed to get us through in Europe where Mancini had shit himself, employing negative tactics that were doomed form the kick off in Madrid. And that's before you count how he alienated half the staff and nearly fucked up the season over Tevez.

There's no contradiction between the two statements. For all his faults Manini built a relatively stable side and we fired him right before he destroyed that side. Pellegrini built on its strengths, released Yaya and gave us that wonderful 2013-2014 season. He was also a brilliant tournament manager, winning two league cups and progressing us further (far) in the CL.

But at the same time there were signs that things were not right in some way. Even towards the end of the 13-14 season several on here were noticing that the team looked like it lacked a proper formation on the field, like the players had a general view of where on the pitch they were supposed to be but that it wasn't that important to stick to that position. This problem grew worse in the second and third season of Pellegrini's reign and towards the last of the third season, it didn't seem like the players gave a fuss. Our fortress Etihad stopped being impregnable and our record against other top six teams leaves a lot to be desired to say the least.

All of this happened at the same time. And as I said in my original post, I'm not sure how much on the minus account can be attributed to Pellegrini. But it did happen. But perhaps your reply was more aimed at hazy and all of this text is just unnecessary.
