Bye bye Wilf, it's been emotional

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 22021.html

The Ivorian first left for City in January of 2015 for an initial fee of £25m, rising to £28m, but the forward struggled to make an impact at the Etihad.

The 28-year-old has since been loaned out to Stoke but now looks set to return to his former club.

Manchester City have been keen to offload Bony, and his £130,000-a-week wage packet, on a permanent basis for much of the summer.

However, the Cityzens have been unable to recoup the £28m they splashed out on the forward.

After Bony refused to take a pay-cut, City were forced to reduce their valuation by £1m to £12m. Swansea will now use that saving to hike their wage offer.

Bony is expected to undergo a medical in South Wales later today ahead of his deadline day move

Turkish welcome for Denayer:

https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/ja ... saray-fans

The Manchester City loanee has arrived in Istanbul for his second stint with the Turkish giants, and was welcomed back with bellowing chants... and flares.

We all know Turkish fans are more passionate than most when it comes to their players (anyone who can recall Darius Vassell's welcome at Ankaragücü in 2009 will testity to that)

They also rather like their pyrotechnics. It's one thing seeing them in Galatasaray's stadium, but a whole other inside the confines of Ataturk International airport, where Belgian stopper Denayer arrived on Wednesday to sign for the club on a two-year loan.
The 22-year-old will now enjoy his second spell with the Turkish giants after spending the 2015/16 season on loan with them, when he made 17 appearances.
It's fair to say that Galatasaray fans are pleased to have him back…

Denayer has also had loan spells with Celtic and Sunderland, but will be hoping to gain firmer footing in this longer stint in Turkey, with the aim of breaking into Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side in the coming years.
Unfortunately for him there will be no European competition this season, after Galatasaray were shocked by Swedish minnows Ostersunds on their way to the Europa League.

Big time Charlie to Dortmund, not London:

https://bitterandblue.sbnation.com/2017 ... adline-day

The biggest star of the Manchester City Academy is moving to Germany. Attacker Jadon Sancho is set to join Borussia Dortmund on a permanent transfer, according to Gary Jacob of the Times and Jack Pitt-Brooke of the Independent.

Ever since they learned that Sancho rejected a professional contract and started missing training sessions to force a move away from the Etihad, City have made an effort to avoid losing Sancho to a Premier League club. Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United showed strong interest in the player, but City made the negotiations “almost impossible” according to the Independent’s report.

Dortmund had to fight off interest from RB Leipzig, which they did successfuly, and according to the Independent Dortmund and City have agreed a fee in excess of the €210,000 City would be due through FIFA rules.

The deal could be announced as early as today, and City might regret not giving Sancho a chance in the first team. At least we won’t see him playing for another top Premier League clu

PSG deal for Mbappe is now not a loan, it's an outright purchase. Draxler to Arsenal to fund it and meet FFP, which means Sanchez to us..??

very bizarre to see Denayer kissing the Galatasaray badge. he did turn down plenty of other loan offers in order to go back to them. i guess that's his level: shit turkish football.

Guillem Balague has tweeted Sanchez done deal £55 rising to £60 with add-ons and Lemar to Arsenal. We've got to keep quiet until they do their business. Good signing Lemar to be fair. Heard it was done last night for these sums so might be something to it.
