I think most agree Yaya can’t be let near the starting lineup.
I certainly think if you have Bravo in goal and Mangala at CB it’s bad enough, but you’re just asking for trouble if you you put Yaya in front of them.
I’d put Merlin and Fern and Kev in front of the back four. Kun up front obviously and Diaz and Sane with him.

Oh and I’d stick with Zinc at LB over Danilo.

If we could get a couple of goals up by the second half then take Fern off and Sane and Kun. Don’t think a Foden is back, but would love to see maybe a surprise on the bench from the academy.

I'd have Walker, Otter, KDB, Sane & Sterling all starting, really don't want this game fucled up and going to extra time.

Pep will makes changes, but the first leg may have given him a bit of a wake up call as to how tough Bristol will be, especially on their own turf. Sunday at Cardiff won't be easier either and the FA Cup is not only more prestigious, it's also a trophy Pep wants to win, more so than the EFL Cup. Don't forget Pep's from an era where the FA Cup was appreciated abroad, he's said himself he used to watch the Wembley finals as a kid growing up, not to mention it's the oldest competition in the world, he'll want to get it won. The league cup is his lowest priority, but still a chance to go to win something.

He's gonna have to go with something like this:

Bravo
Walker, Otamendi, Mangala, Zinchenko
Fernandinho Gundogan
Sterling Bernardo Sane
Aguero

Subs: Ederson, Stones, Danilo, Tosin, KdB, Yaya

Ideally get the first goal inside the first 25 mins, then keep the ball, it'll draw them out and open them up for us to get a second. Then take Aguero, Ferna and Sane off ASAP, save them for Sunday. Bring on Danilo and push Zincko further forward, put Yoyo up front as a lump to scare them and stick Tosin in as a third CB. Job's a good'un, Bob's yer uncle and Fanny's yer aunt.

;)

He doesn't have to go with that at all. Get the game done in the first 30mins then start resting players .... we are not playing until Sunday so no excuses on that front. A cup final is always special and he's won nothing yet with us so would be silly to throw this chance away considering there are several rounds of the FA Cup to hurdle yet.

They've just had nearly a week between the Dippers and Toon. It's a semi final so all guns blazing for me. Same Sunday v Cardiff. If we're going to bench a few, do it v West Brom.

So close to a final it would be utterly stupid not to go with a full strength team.

My thoughts. Do you think Pep will? I don't.

First choice 11. The squad players had their chance to put the tie to bed in the first leg.

I think the Scottish Cup is older. But still, the FA Cup is the most watched.

Second guessing Pep is a very dangerous sport. It may not be full strength but hopefully very close.

Full strength for me also.

It's one game from a Wembley final. They are still special in my view. Next game is Sunday and they had all last week to rest. Not having the resting players for this one. Not being funny but WBA at home is the game to do that.

First Scottish Cup wasn't until 1874. FA Cup started late 1871 while the Scots were still too busy hitting little balls with sticks.
