So, reading between the lines, looks like Gomez was joking with a few other members of the squad and was being disrespectful to Raheem. Raheem reacted and confronted Gomez and there qas a little altercation. Raheem then packs his bags ready to leave and then gets called back as the team know they're fucked without him. Gets a one match ban but will be back again for the 2nd game.

Let's not forget that these so-called team mates were actually abusing him the day before, either throwing him into the hoardings, fouling him at will or pushing him to the floor. No wonder he was pissed off.

Question is, with Southgate's stance on only having players who are regulars in their own team, why is Gomez even there?
