Memories can fade a bit but winning the league in 68 was something very very special and finishing it with a great away win at Newcastle while the scum lost to Sunderland was a brilliant day.

Lots of ups and downs since then (more downs) but since the takeover what we have witnessed is hard to believe. The gradual improvement through 4 managers has been remarkable and so much of the football we have witnessed almost beyond belief.

Winning in 2012 on goal difference from the scum and in the way it happened on the last day was unreal and the season included the never to be forgotten 6-1 at the swamp.

100 points and 105 goals ( was it 105?) just wow. And then to retain the title with 98 points under such pressure was another wow and throw in 3 other trophies in the season is just ridiculous.

I still find it hard to believe how lucky we are as fans but if I had to pick one favourite season it's 1968 with Summerbee, Bell, Lee , Young, Coleman backed up by Oakes, Doyle,Heslop,Book and Pardoe

I'm talking about the first half of the season under Sven, it was just magical.
Maybe it was just a reaction from sitting through Psycho's last stand, but I loved it.
Elano, Ireland, Jonno and all.
And the sun always seemed to be shining.

It was brilliant up until that spanking we got from Chelsea, I was out that night and the DJ played that Fratelli's song, my mates took the piss something else when that came on, cunts, suspect one or them requested it tbh. Elano and Johnson were fantastic to watch that season. Highlight was winning both derbies.

I like when 12 year old dick heads on social media quote the 8-1 to Boro score that season with "Before Oil Money". I just remind them that we beat the rags home and away that season.
