I'm pretty sure Yaya turned into one in his last season with us. His heat map never spread outside of the middle circle.

We have no 'istry', so we don't have anyone good enough to fete with a statue.

But if we were to go down that route, I think it's a great idea....but only if it goes much further back than the 1960s.
We have to respect those who were the heroes of our club in previous years.
Others may not know them but we should never forget them.
Frank Swift, Bert Trautmann, Billy Meredith, Sammy Cowan and others must never be allowed to vaporise unremembered into the past

Only as long as it contains all the extra 'Os' as a mark of that great goal and great day

Some great call outs there John but unfortunately there are some fans that think 'Legends' only appeared from when yaya joined !!!

The word 'legend' gets banded about by 'some' of the UNI snot brigade to just about anyone that had a few excellent seasons...

Different generqation Carl Mate.
Trautmann:- Fought in battle of Stalingrad, 2 Iron Crosses (for the other side). Captured and escaped fron the Yanks in Normandy havin stolen a truck in which to transport 6 wounded German soldiers back to the German lines, instead of fucking off to save himself. Broke his neck in the !956 FA Cupo final and continued to play. Then I watch Jesus and Sterling falling over at the least touch, screaming as though they've been hit by a truck.
And they are considered great.

Legends my arse.

There are a couple of Airfix models still available on ebay , iirc. Be careful which glue you use .

Having been a regular match attendee since 1964 and a s/t holder since 1974 . Having been at the Swindon game with 8,000 in a stadium that once held 84,500 and was one of the 3,000 plus at the Prater stadium in 1970 I have earned the right to call who ever I like a legend!!!!
Totally agree the clubs present to Sergio should be to rename the family stand and yes agree that going back into our long long History than quits a few more should be built to honour all those from the past . The three and the six names are from the mid sixties onwards and along with Francis Lee , David Bernstein , Shinawatra and now The Sheikh and Khaldoon have moulded our club into where we now stand today. Before anyone else kicks off Francis Lee is there because he saved and created the modern day business of the club, but it came at the cost of what was happening on the pitch!! Cheers for listening. CTID!!!
YOU DON'T PICK CITY , CITY PICKS YOU AND WHEN IT HAS!! NO MATTER HOW BAD IT GETS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SAY THATS IT NO MORE NO SEASON TICKET IF YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN BY THE BLUE MIST THE ONLY TIME YOU STOP BEING BLUE IS WHEN YOU DIE!!
IF YOU ARE LUCKY IN YOUR ERA OF BEING BLUE YOU WILL SEE SUCESS IF NOT HEARTBREAK EITHER WAY YOU WILL BE BLUE. ITS JUST THE WAY IT IS!!!!

Unless you have stood your ground in the early 80,s against 5 west ham fans and come away with just a black eye , you haven’t as much right ,as I have ,to call someone a legend .

FFS WELL IF ITS A COMPETION , read the book City Voices!!
I and 20 others were chased down a platform at Euston station by about 200 Arsenal fans wielding chains and poles!! Old Derby County in a complete riot with Derby Fans and at least 3 police horse charges !! Best of all is you have never lived if you hadn’t been to Leeds and Old Stoke City one lot were complete animals and the other thought they were red indians and had Bowie knives and Bows and arrows!!
More?? Chased from the swamp more times than can remember plus the league cup semi final when we drew 2-2 but went thru as we had won 2-1 at Maine Road , stuck down Warwick road subway rags in front rags behind it was a bloodbath!!
Still more fellas , stood on Stretford end in 1969 watching on big screens rags away at AC Milan second leg about 30,000 there Milan scored I cheered Milan went in the Final rags fans were to numb to do anything so got out of that one!!
Ok fellas I will call whoever I want a legend , I have earns it!!!! CBBT
