Exactly my point. Villa won't be able to pay the fees we would demand or pay anything like the wages the players are on now, even if they do play CL. CL will be so devalued the money it brings will be a fraction of what it is now.

the villa match is going to be a complete shitshow. pitchforks will be out. fully expect villa to win...not sure i care tbh.

And that’s what we all wanted. Uefa to be taken down. I’m not sure how it could have been done otherwise? 2-3 clubs starting a league? Then it would have been even worse because those clubs would have been scousers and rags.

By not adding 18 to 25 fixtures a season on top of domestic commitments - that would have been my suggestion. (For City to win this year's CL in comparison, would take them 13 matches).

I agree. And I’m sure Pep agrees as he’s moaned about the fixture list enough times this season.
