Jeezes! I think you will find that there's tons to do for the CEO of business this size! Do you think CEO of Samsung has any input on what new products is going to come from the line? That's not his job nor should it be.

We've tried our best not to get involved with petty slanging contests with media and I hail them for that! There's nothing to be won there. Media aren't going to change their opinion if we start ranting and raving at them.

No wonder people hate city fans with people like you around. You give us all a bad name ;).

Good to see you again !

No - we all make mistakes and our owner has repented .

We move on .

The owners of OUR club should have shown some bollocks and backbone and NEVER got in bed with that brood of vipers in the first place. Just imagine for one moment if the Sheikh & Roman hadn't blinked, and stood firm, then the foul & filthy four would have been left on the high seas without a home port when the dust had settled - doomed to endlessly play with each other , (or themselves) , in a 10 team monstrosity of a "competition" ; how quickly would that have died of boredom , while we (& maybe Chelsea) continue to contest a revitalised and far more competitive/entertaining EPL? It would have been beautiful beyond words.
A little courage and integrity was all that was needed.

"There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea " were we afloat . . .

Opportunity missed.
Still grumpy.

The name of OUR club still stinks , but not quite as badly as the rest of the vampires, that's the only positive.

Of course it's quite possible that our Sheik was unaware as he seems to leave details of his vast empire - and therefore any blame going - to others.

He may just have had a word though

Urggghhhhh... I meant for the transfers.

I bet that he had never HEARD of Mendy before the deal was brought to his table.

first of all, I can understand a little bit why are owners got into this, and that's because all the shit UEFA have given us over the last few years, trying to ban us from the champs league and fine us, so maybe it was 2 fingers up to them,
but also to get into bed with clubs who also wrote letters to UEFA to ban us from the champs league is very worrying, to say the least, and I so get that it's better to be in and looking out than outside looking in with the money involved
the sheikh and the chairman has got to do a lot of bridge-building to our club and fans, but to sell after this 1 error fuck off

Sell? No fucking chance. Up until a week ago there would have been hardly any dissenting voices heard about our ownership over the last decade or so. Granted, on the surface, the outcry over the last few days will have dampened and tarnished a lot of fans views and perspective. But as JC alluded to in another thread, maybe this was part of a bigger plan behind the scenes to shaft other clubs in the so called Euro Elite. Of course that might not be the case and we may have been part of the planning all along. I for one doubt that enormously as when you look at who stood to gain the most it wasn’t us. As with a lot of things the truth will be somewhere in between.

Our owners have INVESTED huge sums into the club, both in infrastructure in and around the Etihad campus and in the playing staff. How many other PL club owners can say that? Very very few. The Glazers for example have taken out over £1BILLION since they took over. If we sell then who knows who takes us over. We’d be incredibly lucky to get another owner with the same investment strategy our current custodians have.

Shinawatra luckily bought us just before we went under. And then he didn’t drag his feet like he could have done when selling to Mansour. What a legend.

Good shout actually! He was Cook's best mate through their Nike connection. Was hired to help them understand football more or less. Don't know what he is still doing with us since I think they have pretty much figured it out by now.

I would not want the Sheikh to sell after the ESL debacle.

We could not have asked for a better owner. I mean just look at the significant investment put in plus all the dedicated and delicate work to get the club where it is today. And not just the club, just look at close relations and investments made in Manc. Top, top owner.

I guess our upper management where flattered to be included in the ESL plans, as we have been fighting both UEFA and the old guard. So the decision was to heed along with the ESL plans, Even though the club do not need the extra cash as our owner have long since put in plans for economical longevity and success.
