A rag loss will be hilarious andyet another reason to goad their plastic fans and take the piss even more that we have beendoing for the last few years.
A draw does neither any good as it puts increasing pressure on the dippers and opens the gates wider for other clubs to overtake them or widen the gap. It also keeps the dream of them not qualifying for any European competition...Cue another wreath laying outside the Shankly gates.
I really wanta scouse win, itwill be a great bost to meet PSG on the back of it as Prem Champs for the 3rd time in only 4yrs.
It means too that; as confirmed champions,Pep is freed from having his rotation problem and can concentrate solely on beating the bent UeFA and the cartel clubs who over the years have done everything they can to stop us winning the CL.
So without any embarrassment nor shame, I will be hoping against hope that the dippers batter the rags, knowing that even in victory, they will feel devastated as their freak winlast season is consigned unto that 'istry' they keep going on about.
I’m the opposite. We WILL win the PL this season whether it’s with other results going our way or by winning on our own merits.
Therefore the question that rears its ugly heard twice a season is what result do we want in the Biggest Ever Match In World Football? And normally I’d go for whichever suits City best at the time. And though a dipper win confirms the PL title, it isn’t as if we are in a tight race. We ourselves have four games to pick up a victory. And that’s assuming the rags win all their remaining games which is an unlikely event.
A rag win means we won’t win the PL title for at least a further week. But it will mean the dipper race to finish fourth and secure a CL slot will be very seriously hampered. As it is they will have a challenging summer to recruit the players required to mount another title challenge. If they haven’t got the lure of CL football and the finances that go with it, then it could well be a season of transition for them. And I still regard the dippers as our closest challengers over the rags and Chelsea, so anything that increases the gap between us, for my money, is worth it. A dipper win might just give them that belief and momentum to sneak that fourth spot.
So I hope it’s a draw. That does nothing to really benefit either club but we would be the main beneficiary. Along with a red card or two and a couple of injuries for each vile club
