People will always try to put two and two together and look for hidden agendas but I give you my word there is nothing untoward. I’ve had 12 wonderful years with three great managers, and being a local lad it has meant the world to me. But recent times have not been the same. Will be greatly missed. Pep did the right thing highlighting his contribution knowing it was coming to an end.

Statement released by Kiddo tonight stating nothing untoward has happened with him and the club just he is in a frame of mind at 72 years of age having gone through a very difficult year and losing so many good friends including Colin Bell it is time to take it easy .

He scored both goals in my first City game. A 2-1 win over Leeds on Good Friday in 1977. Having to back that up at Anfield the day after ultimately cost us the league. We were even being stitched up back then.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I think he's being dead honest with this one. He is at the age when he realises that he has worked all his life and there's probably still some time to enjoy his life and grandkids.

Good luck, Kiddo.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Thanks Kiddo, it's been emotional.
