Welcome Erling Haaland

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Apparently down to us and Real, our offer is better but rumours are he prefers Spain first but Alfie wants him to come to City now.

Also rumours of another buy out clause in the contract of his next club, similar to what he has at Dortmund.

I think ultimately we try our hardest and if he doesn’t want to come we move on.

I am more interested in what's our back up. Or better said, who?
Did not read about other names. (Except Kane again).

He either wants to play in England for City or Spain for Madrid or France for PSG. I’d be a bit surprised if he chose France so that leaves us or Madrid. The wages will be similar I’d have thought. The chances of silverware will be similar as well. That leaves the respective cities as to which he prefers.

I’d usually say that most players would prefer the city of Madrid to Manchester, but this is a guy that grew up in Manchester so he knows what it’s all about. Difficult one to call.

There is another aspect here. Is he willing to stay another year in Germany?
Because in Madrid he will be behind Benzema until he leaves/retires.

I somewhat don't believe Madrid will get Mbappe and Haaland.

He’s 100% leaving Dortmund this summer according to

We are not a stepping stone club - we are one of the best clubs in the world and will be for the remainder of Haalands career (unless the gov decides to sanction UAE) - look at KDB, Komps and many others
If he wants to add some sort of get out clause we either make it so ridiculous or we look elsewhere

The guff about not standing in his way at the end of his contract is the case for every employee in the land. The idiocy of auch stories is beyond measure.

If he comes then great. However so long as the club don't put all eggs into one basket again as we did Kane and end up with no striker at all.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

We will presumably have Alvarez next season as well so maybe we can afford to be choosy

Read that the release clause is available until the 30th of April?

So I reckon this will happen (if so) in the next month.
But I hope we don't wait until July to announce it.

If he’s coming to us then Dortmund will leak it to be bellends because they dislike us.

They’ve already started the bollocks. The Dortmund advisor has come out and said he nearly fainted when he saw what we were offering, as if he’s privy the lying nonce.
