Said it earlier, I hope they will make it, but I think they still are very naive with the teams that are in this league. Except us, everyone will want them to crush and burn. I hope they will be smart and come closer towards us, instead going with the Bandwagon with the first chance they have against us.
Political-wise, with all the american-based clubs & media, they should have a good press until they will try to overcome the rags & scousers.

And football wise, they need a first big transfer to get them going and open the door for others.

The rags if they aren't already, should be very worried about Newcastle. They obviously aren't yet close to be challenging for the PL title, but neither are the rags. They are in with the Arsenals and Spurs and West Hams who will be vying for fourth. And if not next season, then the season after, Newcastle will very likely be in that band of clubs which further dilutes the chances.

Us and the dippers are currently miles ahead of everyone else and Chelsea are ahead of the rest. So that leaves one last CL spot with 4-5 clubs going for it.

Newcastle could easily gatecrash the party

All of which gives the old order the need to form a Superleague to protect their incomes.
The rags out of the CL will hurt them and their recruitment for next season. It will also gamage their income from the extra big games and what the get from broadcasting rights.
Should they be out of both European competitions next season, this will impact their sponsorship revenues too.
With Arse under pressure too, that is 2 of the Yank clubs in danger of financial cuts.

What's not ro like? Be under no illusions and I know you're not John, that super league in another incarnation is being bounced about behind clised doors precisely because the barcodes now present extra threat and we show no signs of letting up

The dippers, though very strong now, you’d think will also have a beady eye on this. How much of their success over the last few years been down to Klopp? And in two years when his contract is up and he likely leaves and coupled with an ageing squad, there’s no guarantee the next manager will continue the success. Of course folks could say the same about us. But I honestly feel when Pep goes the infrastructure we have in place will help the next guy we have, rather than be a burden and hinderance.

With regards to the ESL proposals, surely that’s dead in the water? The backlash from it last time around was huge and way more than the clubs would have anticipated. The tweaks to the CL will likely be ramped up to enable the likes of fallen giants such as the rags, Arsenal, Milan etc to be able to participate and not miss out at the trough.

But make no mistake, at least one of the rags, Spurs or Arsenal will have their noses pushed out of joint and be in the same status of club as a Leicester, Wolves, West Ham in the next few years. Where European qualification is the exception rather than the norm and a good cup run is getting to the semi finals. And I wouldn’t mind betting on the rags falling into this category

The media will give them shit, Oliver ( the cunt) Holt never misses an opportunity to shoehorn criticism of them, Saudi “sports washing” his favourite jibe, he will not be alone Ian Herbert, loathsome Ladyman, Harris and Deloney will form a unholy alliance, wouldn’t be surprised if they lobby for some rule change to try and stop them, some kind of FFP, make no mistake the red shirt media will do their best to prevent another City from spoiling the party.

We all hate the fucking media shite, there is no doubt about that. But the real point is

Do they have any affect on the performances on the pitch ? I suspect not and that must make them feel all the more small, pointless and pathetic little shits.

I see their griping and whining as an admittance of their suffering and frustration. More they whinge the more i enjoy it.

My father in law yesterday - “These ARABS are using clubs as a hobby”

Me - “Weird thing to say. Have you heard Neville say that or something?”

Father-in-law - “Well what attracts them?”

Me - “What attracts any owner for a top team? City’s owner has put millions into the development of Manchester, if it were a hobby why would he do that?”

Father-in-law - “Well…..you know….oil is gonna dry up soon….so it’s moving to tourism now isn’t it

Me - “How many people do you hear say, ‘can’t wait to spend my holiday this year in Beswick!!’..that makes no sense”

Father-in-law - “No I mean to attract more people to their countries”

Me - “I’m so confused, what does that have to do with the development of Manchester?!”

This is what I’m dealing with.

Unfortunately these bastards have influence, they can pressure those that make the rules, they can influence agents and therefore player recruitment do not underestimate the power the pricks can wield.

If i recall correctly, Abu Dhabi has about 100 years of oil reserves 92 billion barrels as of 2016. so I don't think they will be going penniless for a while.

My point was not aimed at you , rather the Red in the discussion.

Something i don't get, the Arsenal team came to Maine Rd., and were applauded off at Half time by the City fans for their performance.

We watch Scouse2 today against, an admittedly weak Everton team and they are surprised that Everton pack eleven players around their own box.

Well Scouse2 , welcome to the City treatment..

We know , it is in our hands.

It's funny, but imagine being Romanian, a fan of so long and then you get into a conversation about football and they ask you who do you support.
99% time their next question is: Ah, were you a fan before 2008?

But what am I saying Romanian, I am pretty sure is with every foreigner outside UK and leaves in Europe.

I fucking gave up, I just talk about football with friends and avoid it at all costs with strangers.
