CFG now own 80% according to Wiki. I don't know if more EFL loans are still possible after yesterday, if so think we'll maybe see a couple more departures. For example older lads Ben Knight & Morgan Rogers aren't featuring in the EDS games currently and were on loan all last season - altho' both still under contract to us for a few years yet. There was also this lad - one of ours?

Very decent transfer window. And still plenty in the bank for next January/summer. Even the media are fulsome in praise for our business model and how we do business

I bet no one will be ‘dissecting’ our finances at the end of 2022 - too much ‘green’ in there for them to be interested in .

So we get the best striker in the world with potentially another world class striker.

A centre back, left back both needed along with another DM

And make a profit of £52.7m whilst reducing the bickering in match day thread and NT burying his old finishing thread ( for now).

All in all, not a bad window

But the finishing thread goes on. With the emphasis on Haaland and Alvarez now JCs mate has been shown the door.

Just for the record it was Sterling who showed City the door and he isn't my mate.

CITY FIRST TEAM SQUAD LAST SEASON COMPARISON
Defenders:

Manuel Akinchi, Sergio Gomez,
CJ Egan-Riley, Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Midfielders:
Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva,
Kalvin Phillips,
Fernandinho , Romeo Lavia, James McAtee.

Forwards:
Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Cole Palmer

We're stronger in defence and stronger in attack.
Phillips is a far better cover than Fern was last season.
Lavia had no league action and McAtee had a few minutes so I wouldn't worry about the midfield too much.

I do like the 'half-full' approach ;)
