I am very pleased you have finally found something about City that makes you happy.
Can't beat a bit of Rico. Us Bury lads are made of stern stuff.

Neville not included though. Either of them. Knocks me sick they’re from
Greenmount.
Are you from up that way?
No, I’m not posh enough. Bolton Road, near where Jolly Carters/Ainsworth Arms used to be.

Rico read out one of my tweets on the official website so he’s in my good books. Top lad and great little player.

Ah, the Three Arrows. Got shitfaced in there a few times. Carter’s too. Bit before you were born, I suspect. Sadly.
I’m from Blackford Bridge near the sewage works so I’m
not quite posh enough to live up there, either.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Three Arrows! Bloody hell I forgot it was called that!! It’s a Toby Carvery unfortunately now and what used to be the Jolly Carters is a huge Petrol Station!

Tip top again tonight. If he continues as he is we have a great player on our hands. If he gets better with age and coaching and experience as I suspect he will undoubtedly do so, then we have a fucking monster

Works so well in tight spaces.
And fearless. Changed the tempo of the game and the attitude of the players around him when he came on.
Happy days

Has he really been tested as a defender?
Then again he's mostly played in midfield.

reminds me of a young gundogan. nothing too flashy but always neat and tidy. if he can add gundo’s ability to arrive in the box he could be some player.

I've seen him make more tackles than cancelo has in his whole city career
Tested as a defender on walkers levels, no..but he's a better defender than cancelo already and some fools think he's world class as a full back.

Lewis , on current form , should be should be ahead of Walker .
He rarely , if ever , loses the ball and does more with it .
A permanent starter IMO .
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

You seem to struggle with these concepts Mase.
But he ought to curb the Sideshow Bob Junior look

I honestly haven’t seen one poster on here say “give someone a chance just because they’re a youth prospect”. But it goes to show that when Pep does regularly give one of them that deserves it a chance, they can flourish.

Academy doing it's job.
Heartwarming to see young local lads getting into our team, and doing well

Key phrase being ^that deserves it". Only Pep can decide that. I've said many times that greatness should be obvious at 16 or 17, when people are screaming for 20 and 21 year olds to be "given a chance". What planet are these people on? Rico, obvious, Foden, obvious, Shrek, Owen, obvious.
John Guidetti, Liam Delap, Kelvin Etuhu, never even close yet all three repeatedly demanded by people on forums! And there's plenty more
Now about Palmer........

You’ve said it was obvious with Rico but surely that’s because he’s been given a chance consistently?
Look at the other side, Josh W-E, when he’s been given a chance he’s looked good. You’ve brought up being deserving of it, so please tell me why Gomez deserves a chance over Josh?

He's been given a chance consistently because he's so good and that's going to show in training.
Rico was meant to be going on tour with the youth team last summer and the day before they were flying out and after a final training session Pep called him in and said he was going to the USA with the 1st team where he flourished and the rest is history.
He's 2 years younger than Josh WE and Palmer yet he's overtaken them big style in the pecking order. There's a reason for that.

That still doesn’t answer why Josh hasn’t been given a chance instead of Gomez? Who is absolutely terrible. Using your example, Josh has been a regular on the tours as well. So “there’s a reason for that”.

My example was what he did on the tour as opposed to just being there.
He came on against Bayern Munich, went on a great run down the right and hit the post in a practical carbon copy of his EDS goal against Everton last season and his CL one this year. He's been getting more and more 1st team action and looks like he's been there for years. Josh will be a Championship player in the next year or so, guaranteed.
