Great picture of Inzhagi in the pouring rain urging on his team. No brolly for him. No shite teams in sight last night. Exhausted Inter players who somehow rallied to get to the Final under fantastic leadership against a young Barca team under Hansi Flick who’ve achieved much more than seemed likely at the start of the season. Can Barca pick themselves off tbe floor to win la Liga? The showdown with Madrid awaits in the Classico.

I thought Barcelona's style looked a lot like ours, with the difference being they were far more willing/permitted/encouraged to play forward balls and not always sideways. It ended up with Inter having numerous counter attacks and I know Pep doesn't like that but if you don't buy a ticket you don't win the lottery. That Yamal kid they all rave about, I don't think that other than an end product he has anything that Doku doesn't have. Doku is faster and more able to beat his man. He's possibly more skilful. He just doesn't have the shooting or crossing ability. Yet.

Great game over both legs. I haven't been entertained like that at the Etihad for a very long time.

Absolutely superb. The football equivalent of Leinster vs Northampton Semi final.

Two shite teams who would absolutely beat the shite out of us.

Inzaghi reached the final 2 times in 3 years with Darmian, Mkhitaryan or Acerbi who together have over 100 years. He has a terrible squad, however, his team has a fantastic scoring record.

Hes no check book manager is he !!! We should go all out for him as manager for next season or the season after, if Pep decides to stay for one more.

He is a fantastic manager, in my book, however, he has a system that I don't know if can work in England: 3-5-2
With most of the teams playing long balls, this might collaps into his head.
However, Conte won the league with Chelsea playing the same, so it might be all about having the right players.

He does not speak English. It has been said that he is only interested in managing in Italy. And aside from that cant see our hierarchy opting for a manager with his playing philosophy.

I think he has a bad reputation of ugly football. The scoring record his team have is the following (league)
Lazio - 2016 - 76
2017 - 89 (best in the league)
2018 - 56
2019 - 79
2020 - 61
Inter - 2021 - 84 - (best in the league)
2022 - 71
2023 - 89 (best in the league)
2024-2025 - 73 (best in the league so far)

No way Inzaghi comes here. Been in Italy forever and in a lovely city like Milan. Why would he come to a dump like Manchester?!

Who wouldn't want to coach in a country where he gets his work analyzed in prime tv by Carragher and Neville?

I agree. There's no way an Italian who has spent his whole career on the books of Italian teams would ever leave the role of head coach at Inter Milan to come and manage Manchester City. I just can't envisage it ever happening.

Agree 100% he wouldn't leave Italy

But Milan is more of a dump than Manchester.

He's won Serie A once and he's 3 points behind Napoli this season.
This is the 2nd CL Final he's got to. First one he lost to us.
It's hardly the best CV in the world.

There's a lot saying today his tactics work because they're not a team of stars and could he handle world class players.
Italian managers have a habit of coming to the Prem, doing well at first then self destroying like Mancini, Ranieri and Conti
