Really do feel for the guy, he is obviously in pieces and keeps having to talk about it to the press. As the most high profile member of the squad and captain everyone obviously wants to speak to him and he is plainly in no fit state to do so, really is a harrowing thought trying to imagine what he went through. stuck for 30 mins on a bus being peppered with bullets, watching his friends being shot and no doubt thinking that he would be next and then his friend dies in his arms.

I hope those guys having a go at him about the Arsenal shirt give it a bloody rest now, he is clearly completely screwed up at the moment and yet having realised the mistake he made the point of wearing a City shirt (probably a match worn souvenir that he had previously given to someone by the look of it and also seemingly the only City branded shirt he could get hold of). I hope the press give them all a bit of space for a couple of weeks now to come to terms with what happened to them.

i think some serious apologies are needed here, once again, certain elements of our support have showed actions and reactions that are nothing short of disgraceful. Some people need to stop, count to 10 (some, a million) and then post. The way people turn on 'their own' is very saddening indeed. We are better than that, or at least should be.

in hope

We came this close to another tragic an unfair tragedy and we have an 8 page thread slaggin him off for the shirt he wore and terms like "he's made us a laughing stock" and "unforgiveable" - the mans close friend died in his arms - he must be a right mess - I know we had the thoughts for adey thread but I am appalled at how easily some of us changed our tune

I obviously know he has been through hell. But you still have to ask the question as to how?? and why?? What is the thinking behind it!!? what is he trying to prove or tell us? Its just all very strange.

He has been through alot, but it still doesn't mean City fans cant question his motives behind wearing an Arsenal shirt after all the fuss and anger HE created.

I hope to Christ very few of the general football public or the media have read some of the stuff in this thread & similar ones on other sites. It doesn't show us in a very good light.

A friend dies in his arms and some people are still talking about shirts, eh?

Personally, I am relieved that he made it through such a horrific experience alive and, all things considered, well. I would prefer an Arsenal shirt to a bodybag any day of the week. The guy needs support and understanding, not the kind of petty bitching that has been evident on this thread.

Jeez.. Im not bitchin!! I was just simply wondering what the thinking was behind it . This is a forum and this topic is in correspondence to the title, 'why Ade was wearing an Arsenal shirt'. There's another thread where people share their sorrows on what happened. I really do feel there are so many out there that are still yet to grasp this whole internet forum malarkey!! Do you really think its so wrong and CrAZy that City fans are questioning why he has an Arsenal shirt on?? Im sure those on here that oppose to such questions are deep down asking themselves the same questions and wonder what the reason was for Ade to be wearing an Arsenal shirt. If you say you are not wondering such things, you're a lier.

Yeah, you think about it for ten seconds & realise there could be many reasons for it & you don't fucking care because the bloke nearly died & you feel very sorry for him & hope he's not mentally wrecked for the rest of his life.

But there is another thread to share your thoughts and give best wishes for those affected.. This is simply a thread asking why he wore an Arsenal shirt. I was wondering as to why, as were many others! I cant see the harm in curiosity on the matter. Just some seem to be getting on their soap boxers.Im starting to think there are some on this forum that just like a good bitch and jump on other users backs at any slight given moment.. Think some need to fookin chill!!!

It shows (as everyone understands anyway) that he only plays for City for the money, not for any loyalty to a city or to a club or to the supporters who are mostly white northern English people living in a cold land far from where he considers home. He's a mercenary not a Mancunian.

Not mindless because I thought about it before i wrote it. As for "jingoistic", parochial, maybe, but not jingoistic, more like realistic.
