it's not us wanting to throw him away though. It's him quitting and giving up.

I'd have agreed if we had driven Robinho away. He has had my full support until he started whining like a little bitch and angling for a move to the mighty Santos. He's brought this on himself and the fact his only option is to move back to the Brazilian league just proves he is overrated. By himself.

Then why has he played his entire career cutting in from the left?

And to Tru_Blu its hard when you break up with someone who you love more than they love you isn't it! Let's face it, Robinho's transfer to us was never a good move in the circumstances it was carried out in. He was so desperate to leave Madrid he didn't even care who signed him and didn't know much about what was happening himself on deadline day.

When he arrived he gave the impression he was helping City out and was bigger than the club/doing us a favour. On more than one occasion he has gone above the manager's head and spoken directly to the Directors. It's not a good way to run a team.

Robinho plays for himself, and not the club he is contracted to.

I'm not sure he's sulking tbf. Ronaldinho's playing better than him & he's worried. He can go to Brazil & look brilliant against sub standard defenders running at half speed in the hot weather & will probably get his World Cup place without having to put much effort in.

The alternative is to fight for a place in our team in competition with players who are all playing better than him. Let's face it, he hasn't fought for anything in his career either in the Brazil team, for Real Madrid or for City. We almost got him to do it but not quite. If it wasn't for the World Cup he'd probably just carry on playing here & perhaps he would try a bit harder but he doesn't have to, he doesn't care about City, he cares about Brazil, so he's after the easiest way to get in their team.

I'm not so sure when he came back from injury how much time did people give him before criticizing. Not one minute i tell you just look back in the thread. I really believe the English media has caused Robihno all this discomfort but the fans lack of backing has caused him to look for a new home.

And I really believe he brought it on himself. It's not one manager who's chosen others ahead of him, but two.

That's absolute crap. He's had more backing than any player would get turning in performances like he has. He got more stick playing for Brazil last season than he's had in his whole City career yet he still wants to play there. Fucking sick of people blaming us for him going.

He plays as a second striker for Brazil, as he did for Santos before he joined Real Madrid.
He was definitely not playing as a left-winger on his debut for us either come to think of it.

Yes you found me out. You make some good points in the way the transfer was carried out but seriously you dont think Robinho was a bigger name internationally than the club at that time?

Robinho has had more backing then any other player. There were signs of this happening last year with his attitude (not showing for away games, leaving the team for brazil, talking to directors behind peoples back) and he was more then protected. A fair majority put Robinho on the edges of legend status for city and he just didn't seem to care to go the extra mile. I lost patience with robinho a long time ago. That being said, that isn't the same as me saying I wanted him to fail. Nobody wants anyone to fail at city.

Had a long thought about this and have come to the conclusion that its ALL bullshit.. Mancini has found a way of beating Baconface at mind games and is going to release Robinhos hell and fury against the rags at their place. What a sneeky little bugger our manager is.. pretending that our superstar is unhappy and wants a move etc etc.. Took him off after he scored at Scunny to keep him hungry for more but also I believe Robinho was told to play the game show hes interested (which he did) but don't go over the top. Sounds far fetched I know but Robinho (if he wants) could be the key to beating United on Wednesday and the rags would'nt know what hit them if Robinho and Tevez are on top of their game.
Ok ok.. I know I'm off my head etc but it would be nice! I just cant see WHY on earth Robinho would want to fuck off to Santos with his tail inbetween his legs and basically admiting he is out of his depth in the premier league.. where has his ambition gone?.. I refuse to believe it. Mancini is key right now.
