Best first half away day display I've seen from City in the top flight. Amazing football, controlling the game and getting 4 or 5 players into the opposition box!! I'm in heaven with that.

Nice dig.

I'm proud as fuck so far. We look like a top team, playing passing attacking football in the oppositions half.

Big difference in our approach. Instead of takin the easy pass backwards every fuckin time, every player is lookin to make things happen. Brilliant.

Still prolly worth a punt on Fulham to win though, odds will be lovely hahaha

A great half that we completely controlled. The benefit of playing a forward line with mids backing them up is quite obvious. Also, having 2 offensive minded FBs who can get up and down the line makes a hell of a difference when it comes to distribution and space.

Another half like that one please fella's, then we'll know we can win the league ;-)

i agree homeslice. let's hope we don't make a meal of this second half by letting them claw their way back with an early goal, then a sending off, etc...we're capable.

cheers

Fanfuckingtastic 1st half. That's a side going for the title, not this 4th place shit. I take my cyber hat off to Bob & the boys for producing that under pressure. Best half away from home since Sven's OT Munchen day imo. The biggest difference is that we're pushing into the opponent's half rather than sitting deep. Positive attitude.

Don't let standards slip now. Take no prisoners. Go for the throat & improve the goal difference.

That was magnificent football. Mark Hughes, thanks to being a gobby, self satisfied, trumpet-blowing, bitter, incompetent joke gave City the best team talk he ever did. Fantastic, flowing, one-touch football, and goals aplenty to show for it. Well done, Roberto.

Happy days!

Seriously speaking, the difference is Silva used in free PLAYMAKERS role behind striker and Krusty the Clown.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

This has been a great first half, let's hope we carry on in the second half, go for the throat and get the goal difference up

Nahhh mate, gotta disagree. He has been very good but I think the difference lies in Yaya's positioning. He is further up the pitch, adding his presence, giving defenders something else to think about, really forcing the openings.

I think you mean Sideshow Bob. It's OK though, they're all making Danny Murphy look like Hans Moleman at times!

To my special friends Ted and Dub - as official representatives of the "we are not attacking enough party":
Irrespectively of what score the game will end, was that first half attacking enough? And I particularly do mean that shown the ten minutus before and up the second goal! I know is a differnt means of attack, but it is attack nonetheless: only brings very less risk and threat to the defensive phase.
Keep the faith, Mates, and imagine the output when Mario will be in for Jo and Kolarov and Boateng/Micah will be fully set into the engine!

Didn't read the thread but to be fair to MH, the comparison is void, as it is a McLaren versus a Vahuxal.

BTW: Massimo Marianella (SKY SPORT ITALIA) is a fucking retard [Fucktard] rag bastard!!!
I want the English commentary back, FFS!
