7 fucking goals and we still aren't the first game of the night ...

Gary Lineker's Tweet: "MOTD running order: Ars/Liv, ManC/Nor, New/Che, Ful/ManU, Hull/Sun, Sto/Sou, WBA/CP, WHU/AV. BBC1 10.25. It's an absolute belter."

Right, coming up in 10 mins then, let's see ...

They were fawning over Arsenals 4-1 win over Norwich (which was only cemented with 2 late goals) and yet we barely get a mention. Then when saying Chelsea lacked energy he refers to Arsenal again as the yardstick. It borders on a Gunners jizzfest then they realise what they're saying and insist they won't win the league.

I thought we played well today.only just got in and missed half of Match Of The Day and not pressed record on the planner duhhhh.

I don't see Arsenal or Liverpool as a threat.I think the top 3 will be Us,Scum,Chelsea.was glad Chelsea were beat,we don't need them setting the early pace. The Arse will spread their legs for Gollum at the swamp next weekend and take a dry bumming, this after being raped by Dortmund this week.Lineker and the other cnuts can then start mourning another Arsenal implosion.

Pl record is 9-0 Rags v Ipswich. Only other team to score 9 is Spuds but they also let one in v Wigan.

You've got to feel for the Norwich fans. It's a long drive home, especially after conceding a handfull of goals

I just watched the motd highlights and it was filled with praise for us. "Out of this world", "breath-taking" and "Manchester City didn't let the loss at Chelsea take the stuffing out of their title challenge" are a few sample phrases. Anyone who watched the highlights (what went on in the studie is a completely different matter) and saw it as anything but praise for our ability and criticism against Norwich is seriously not going to live a happy life.

There's bias and there's bias.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

To be fair to twosips i think he was referring to the studio analysis. Credit to the commentator Johnathan Pearce who was lavishing justifiable praise on our performance. Shearer just can't praise City for some reason. Its always dammnation for the opposition

All the top 6 sides are technically a threat & are potentially much better than they were (apart from the rags) but are also flawed, including us.

None of them are truly great sides but all are capable of becoming a lot better than they are now & probably will improve considerably.

I put us at the top of that pile.

For us to prove it, requires us to go on a fairly sustained run of good results, followed by another one, when that ends.

If we do that, we will break away from the pack imo, as I don't believe any of them are capable of sustaining that without hitting a bad patch. If we don't manage a proper run, we will remain a talented but flawed side, fighting with other such teams til the end of the season. Which would be fun in itself tbf.

The defence/keeper will decide that.

Demichelis showed some good defensive moments v Norwich but I feel he is a lot slower than he initially appears to be & that may be the test. He does look a level above Nasti (who did nothing wrong at all btw) defensively though & more like the level of Vinny/JL in that area. He is also clearly better on the ball than any of our cbs imo, & actually did some of the 'creative' stuff which people pretend Nasti/Vinny do (but hardly ever actuially do) but the trouble is he knows it, thus casually passed directly to the oppo about 6 times due to not taking enough care, do to overconfidence in his own ability to pass the ball.

The last person to achieve that was probably Richard Dunne, for different reasons.
