I don't see Arsenal or Liverpool as a threat.I think the top 3 will be Us,Scum,Chelsea.was glad Chelsea were beat,we don't need them setting the early pace. The Arse will spread their legs for Gollum at the swamp next weekend and take a dry bumming, this after being raped by Dortmund this week.Lineker and the other cnuts can then start mourning another Arsenal implosion.
All the top 6 sides are technically a threat & are potentially much better than they were (apart from the rags) but are also flawed, including us.
None of them are truly great sides but all are capable of becoming a lot better than they are now & probably will improve considerably.
I put us at the top of that pile.
For us to prove it, requires us to go on a fairly sustained run of good results, followed by another one, when that ends.
If we do that, we will break away from the pack imo, as I don't believe any of them are capable of sustaining that without hitting a bad patch. If we don't manage a proper run, we will remain a talented but flawed side, fighting with other such teams til the end of the season. Which would be fun in itself tbf.
The defence/keeper will decide that.
Demichelis showed some good defensive moments v Norwich but I feel he is a lot slower than he initially appears to be & that may be the test. He does look a level above Nasti (who did nothing wrong at all btw) defensively though & more like the level of Vinny/JL in that area. He is also clearly better on the ball than any of our cbs imo, & actually did some of the 'creative' stuff which people pretend Nasti/Vinny do (but hardly ever actuially do) but the trouble is he knows it, thus casually passed directly to the oppo about 6 times due to not taking enough care, do to overconfidence in his own ability to pass the ball.
The last person to achieve that was probably Richard Dunne, for different reasons.
