Absolutely, for god's sake look before you cross

Don't agree at all.

Put the ball into dangerous areas & expect the strikers to be there. City should have scored at least once from Navas' crosses.

Why Zabba was brought on to get in his way, I've no idea. Micah was taking the fullback/defender inside leaving him 1v1, Zabba was stood in Navas' space stopping him from operating properly.

that doesn't take into account Zabaleta & Clichy being dropped - he had enough changes to accommodate already without making some of his own

What's so good about zabba & Clichy this season that they can't be dropped ?

Zabba would have played better than Richards today.

Clichy would have played better than Kolarov today

Well that was shocking, and much as Dean is a cunt, it isn't down to him that we weren't even close to good enough.

Richards played with much more attacking intelligence than Zabba imo.

This is the first time this season I've really started to feel like we have let the league slip away. The defeats until now hurt, but this one is just far more depressing. I think its because its hard to see the pattern changing, we seem determined to have horrible away form and its killing us. If it hasnt killed us already.

What hurts is I have no explanation for it, I can't figure out why it happens. Man for man we are the best team in this league, and by a distance I feel. We should be right up there with Arsenal, but we've shot ourselves in the foot so many times now I'm beginning to think it might be getting too much and beyond us to recover.

The manner of how we are fucking this up is what hurts.

Losing to them 1-0 four seasons in a row is really unbelievable. Nothing more "typical city" than that. ffs.

I'm not angry this time. I'm just sad.

C'mon lads we've had a bad day and I am gutted but it's still far too early to give up. We have the resources and the basis of a great team( not including Garcia) to turn this around. City Till I Die. I believe.

If we were behind Ferguson's Utd & had a much worse run in, the league would be over.

Behind anyone else, with similar fixtures, no chance is it over.

2? who would those be?

if we like or not its going to tkee something out of our hands for the current top two teams to be brought down to our level of dropping points. The bindipers dont have a big squad (not like ours and we still cant afford to drop first team players) so a few key players picking up a knock might help and you could say the same for Arsenal, but we shouldn't after spending so much money and having such a bloody good team need to be wishing for such things Even more so at this stage of the bloody season.
I fail to grasp what the hell is going on in the back ground of city and its training, but whatever it is its not bloody working. If the team are up for it then we look fantastic, but if not then once again there doesn't seem to be anything the manager can do to stop or change it.
I dont think the management staff have any idea either and thats the real worry.

It's more than just a bad day. The league is slipping away, and we won't improve in time, we will be playing catch up fighting for 4th place if were lucky, as far as league goes this season is a write off for this team playing like this.

Agree with that, Micah was atleast taking a man off the play. Still feel that Navas cross could have been better, they were falling in no mans land most of the time. I guess they should atleast have had instructions that whenever Navas has a ball near the corner rush into the box

I've no problem with replacing injured players but to make extra needless changes on top of that is now looking like a bad decision. I posted on another thread that with our record at the sol we need to start with our strongest eleven so its not me being a smartarse with the benefit of hindsight.

Can only echo most of the sentiments on here. One small!! plus for me was Demichelis bringing the ball out from the back reasonably well and I can't think of many passes he didn't make today. Could be an option as the defensive midfielder in front of the back four?

Shocking!

All the possession, shots, corners and passing accuracy stands for shit when you lose 1-0 to bunch of rag rejects.

No energy whatsoever. Even when we were camped in their half, we were toothless and out of ideas.

Good job the international break is upon us and allows the team to take note of what has just happened.

Something dramatically has changed with your outlook lately.

Silva only plays well for 5 or 6 games a season.
We won't win four more away games all season.

I just hope it isn't depression setting in.
