Biggest score line over two games in the league cup ever.

Surely that part about Lopes can't be true? I read it on here that he missed his golden opportunity when he failed to do better in the Blackburn game.

There are two players with similar names on our squad. Lopez lost his chance but Lopes is alive and kicking.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

How can a ref cheat like that ? There has to be at least 2 and a half minutes. Injury of 3 mins !!

Pluses were the comfortable win Lopes performance game time for Rodwell and Jovetic. Hope all three start against Watford. Minus hope the beast's ok.

I have to say I was expecting us to get to 10 goals over the two games. Honeymoon period over with Pellegrini for me!

Considering his age he was superb. Gets the ball, looks up, sees whats on and if there isnt a pass, tries to beat his man and find space. A joy to watch. A shoo in for Watford

Yeah, that was utter crap.

Always the same from him unfortunately.

You're getting right up there with Carl and Ted in your obsessiveness. Keep at it!

If Nastasic wasn't shite every game I wouldn't need to say anything. He's massively out of his depth and it's painful to watch.

Anyway...great tackle there from Lescott.

And good to see Rodwell on the pitch!

Can't complain about too much but Nastasic was absolutely hopeless

Yup he's on my starting wish list for the weekend. Think edin and serg will start and jovetic from the bench. Even if negredo is ok I think he'll benefit from a rest with some tough games coming up!

Am so joyed to see one of the youngsters come through and do well!

Lopes great tonight, really looked good, a little more craft and composure which will come with experience.

Very disappointed with nasti, he was poor.

So who do we want in the final? Considering our record away from the Etihad against Sunderland, i'll take the derby.
