However, on this theme, Mangala was unbelievably bad against Swansea yesterday and if Pellegrini remains at City next season, surely even he won't be able to continue playing someone who doesn't seem able to do the simple things well.

I feel sorry for DeMichelis having to play alongside him.

Apart from gifting Dyer the ball which was unbelievably bad what else did he do wrong?

That was his bad moment, pretty much all the others were Demichelis & then Kompany when he came on. Mangala looked miles better than either of them.

But all 3 were missing on one corner, when Hart had to make the save of the season, which is quite bizarre really.

Back to topic Di Marzio reports that Guardiola has promised City he'll be here in 2016. No more interest in Ancelotti.

Don't get too excited. According to David Amoyal: "the article says "it appears that" not a definite"

Just to chuck it in as I'm bored, had a message this morning from a rag suggesting a very reliable source ( on Twitter) is saying Klopp is in advanced talks with City, that Madrid want to talk to him but he has told them he already is talking to us, so no thanks (Sounds so likely). Oh, the stumbling block is that he wants full control of all transfers.
Also City have agreed terms with Sterling of 165k a week but this figure has been matched by a London club.
I've already suggested he might just be talking bollox but he is adamant.
Discuss.

Ted, keep trying to talk sense against the voices of unreason. I'm with you, mate. The Mangler plays well for huge chunks of the game then commits basic errors. If we can eradicate those we have a real good un. Time will tell, but he's got the building blocks. The worry for me is Kompany. I get the feeling his head has been turned and that he is more and more up his own arse. Hopefully Im wrong and he comes back stronger. But both him and Demichellis have as many mistakes in them as Mangala. And there is no one out there, or the Rags wouldn't be playing Jones and fucking Smalling would they!

Realistically the only way Klopp could be a success here is if he controlled the kinds of players coming in. If he did come it's because Pep said he wasn't next year I believe.

Sterling seems worth a shot. I hope it's true that we're in pseudo pole position.

Cheers
