I can only comment on the two W's but it seems to me that both are guilty of trying to get all their best players on the pitch at once. Any success england and belgium have in this tournament will be in spite of them, not because. Hodgson IMO is at the stage where he could pick the right side that most would approve of...then make the usual head scratch substitutions and fuck it all up. On the plus side for both countries, i think both are very near the exit door, but id have more optimism that belgium will learn from their mistakes than us.

Shoe horning Rooney into a role Noble, does better than most in the league is criminal, it starts there for me .

It's the same thing over and over, pick the best players and not the best man for the job.

As much as I really despise him (cuz he's an Italian Rag breed through and through and I hate every single one of them!) You have to give credit to Conte for making a good side out of the poorest (quality wise) Italian roster ever.
Not sure if he will cope with the London envirnoment and the handling of a foreign language, as he still has to learn talking italian, but if he somehow will do, well... yet another massively improved opposition for us. thankfully we also will have a manager back.

also I think the most advised fella on here, will have noted how usefull and powerfull can be the 3-5-2 setting against higher quality opposition and why Mancini was right to try and teach it as plan b, particularly for european games.

As many mentioned a team had the better of a bunch of class players with no game plan nor tactical drills whatsoever. My take for Bigblue's poll is Wilmots well ahead of the politically correct senile Voy; Dunga can be judged, imo, cause Brasil is shit.

Also shame that Ireland couldnt get away with a deserved win.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Can see why Mancini wanted De Rossi, even now 4 yrs older he is class the way he managed games and the likes of bog brush was a lesson to MF players.

That's your problem, you were taking Italian classes in London when you should have been learning English!

But anyone who cannot see what a massive failure Dunga has been is blind. They just got knocked out of the group stages with Ecuador, Peru & Haiti in their group! This is Brazil we're talking about!

Brazil doesn't have the standout players of past decades, but they still have an very good team if you put them together right. And Dunga has failed at every level; calling up the wrong players, playing a crap system, making bizarre substitutions, etc... His football is incredibly boring, ineffective, and negates the strengths of his players.

But I'm afraid nothing will change until they clear out the corrupt CBF (aka Nike), who make the FA & UEFA look like angles.

The quotes coming from a senior Russian FA official who is also an MP are outrageous and they should be reviewed on his comments alone.

The Russians have been planning the attacks for years perfecting the smash them to fuck and melt away ! I would not be surprised if they had been state trained. On almost every front when Russians come into contact with anyone there is drama, Olympics- Drugs, Euros, Violence, WORLD CUP, good look with that !!

Did they not just use this as a set of warm up games for the olympics? It doesn't look to me like Brazil really made much of an effort to even pretend they were participating.

Think You have 3/4 of a point on Dunga, esp if considering my assumption on Conte. But Brasil is still shit and not only by the standards we used to love of them. agreed that is a far off affair.
also you have half a point on my mishandling of the underground version of the language that once was of The Immortal Bard of Avon.
all in all, it's 1.25 to nihil for You.

btw.... GO ICELAND!!!... even if I cant make it tonight.

There was an incident a while ago (a year ago?) with a Russian biker gang wanting to gain entry to Poland from Kaliningrad to cause trouble, and the gang had links to Putin. It was suspected it was a political move aimed at intimidating a NATO member.
I would not be surprised if the 'black-clad Russians' hunting for English fans in Marseille were linked with him too - I wouldn't put it past him to call in favours or hire the worst of the worst for a 'special mission'.
