Very underwhelmed and utterly bemused, Maybe Pep has a plan but I can't see it yet.

Too much panic its a friendly afterall. We do look to be slightly behind but we will get there.

Really looking forward to how we line up on sat.

I said it already in this thread but if anyone wants an insight into peps thoughts just look at the documentsry currently on sky on demand called pep.

I would trust pep with my kids and my life savings i have 100% faith we have the best manager inthe world.

I missed most of the second half, but save for some.brain farts in defence, I think you're all mad. What I saw was dead positive.

Looking forward to the new signings and defenders joining up with this. The way we push every ball is lovely to watch.

Looking forward to this season. I may be a pep licker come may.

Possibly the most balanced post you've ever made Carl. Are you ok?

For the record I agree. Nothing game.

I saw only 60 minutes from this, I agree it was a weird transfer window for us. Pep is doing some experiments there, no need to panic.

I hope only that we signed our main targets.

What I want to highlight is that is a chance we might see Willy in goal on saturday and not Joe.

Speculating on ITV about bad body language between Joe and Pep after Pep told the players to go to the traveling fans.

Oh come off it. Gundogan and Sane are not awful players. Neither was available tonight. Jesus will be coming in January and looks a stunning prospect. Nolito's a decent Spanish international and we'll probably get the best young english defender of his generation. There were definite pluses tonight with Delph and Sterling looking far better and Silva and Aguero working much harder off the ball. Kevin looked good the moment he came on. Hopefully he can start on Saturday. The worries are centre back and goalkeeper. Both may be addressed before the window shuts.

Willy Bony? Most probably by the way Pep thinks.

Sir Big Willy, not I cannot find the goal Willy.

And to be fair, who would blame him? Joe needs to be ready mentally for the next month or so. All eyes will be on him.

Seriously concerned !

Defensively we are an utter shambles , midfield a mess , upfront slightly better ! Lots of round pegs in square holes and top players not having a clue what they are supposed to do ? Bizarrely we looked more composed when Yaya came on .......... so what the fuck does that tell us ??? Better effort from Sterling , the lad looks to have found some much needed confidence and class cross for opening goal . Massive week ahead and we look miles off where we are supposed to be at .
Not really here

Fuck VAR

Fair chance we might see a cock or two in defence as well

It does look grim for Denayer. No Vinny, Mangala or Otamendi and Pep prefers Kolarov Fernando and Tosin.

Everytime i see alex garcia im impressed, id take him over fernando n delph any day of the week, hes like a young pep.

I love how our fullbacks tuck into act as midfielders, our youth team have been doing this for a couple of years they looked far more comfortable than our senior players.

We had a couple of bits of play that were fantastic, it will come it eill take time though and it might not b rosy for a while bit when it clicks we are going to walk this league.

On a side note hart is struggling big time in this system hes like a big square peg in a round hole, three times kicked it long n lost possesion even when he played it short he didnt look comfortable and didnt give the right angle to receive it back. Its going to be bleak for him i wouldnt b surprised to see willy start saturday.
