We battered Everton and although they parked the bus it's not really that we couldn't or didn't create anything. Two penalty misses in one game is crazy as was that save from Kevin! Play like that in every game and all's well.

Exactly. Our standards on so called off days are so much higher than last year. That'll get us through tough times.
We need to be more clinical.
One goal up against Everton and that could have turned into a stroll in the park.

We'd have lost games like that last year.

I agree with much of that Doug, but I don't think we are good enough to win the league. Do you?

I was disappointed that we were literally trying to walk the ball in to the net at times. 1-2s in the box are brilliant to watch..when you're 3-0 up. Some of these players we've got now have a fantastic shot on them, yet I can only think of KDB's effort that was long range from yesterday. Stop the pissing around and just shoot!!

In addition I would add that we hardly ever seem to draw fouls about 20/25 yards out. We have some superb free kick takers yet they hardly ever get the chance to show what they can do. It's not as if we don't have possession in those areas, indeed we seem to camp out there

No we keep getting penalties 12 yards out and keep missing them. If we can't score from 12 yards what makes you think we can score from 25? :D

There were a few occasions where the ball was laid back to Fernandinho on the edge of the area that were crying out to be struck first time but they all fell on his left and he seemed reluctant to hit them.

This absolutely. We played well and on another day it is at least a 4:1 spanking of the Blue bindippers. Stekelenburg had the game of his life yesterday, no two ways about it and as has been previously said the only disappointment is in the manner of how the penalties were taken.

I would add to that Clichy's poor awareness in showing Lukaku on to his left foot for their goal as we all know how good is he with his left and he is significantly weaker on his right.

Sane was quality for me along with Gundogan apart from the obvious candidates and I think they will only get better and better as the season progresses.

I have no doubt we are good enough to win the league but that doesn't mean we will win it. I am still very happy overall with the start we have made over 8 games and the level and quality of game is high.

We do need key players though to play to their best and that specifically in terms of goal scoring. I think if we got in front yesterday , which we should have done, we would have won easily. Barca will be a fascinating game to watch and see how Pep sets up.

1) we were crying out for navas for sterling in the last 15 mins. fresh legs on the right wing would have killed them

2) we need to shoot more

3) learn to take pens
