Whatever the practicalities of it, it was pure muck to watch.
We will win nothing either until we start keeping clean sheets regularly.
We also look pretty toothless up front.
Yes we've qualified but I really didn't enjoy that.
I'd like to agree, but I can't. Through to the last 16 with a game to go. Yep, that's right, all done and dusted with a game to go allowing us to concentrate on the PL, allowing players to rest, allowing us a greater shot against Chelsea and Leicester in the games either side of Celtic. Losing tonight meant it wasn't guaranteed, ......... Oh, I won't bore you.
And I'd love to agree with you Beefy. It's the way I should feel but I really think things are so flat st the moment.
Interesting how we see it different. I like to take everything into account, not saying you don't, mind, and appreciate its been a difficult period. We've won 3 of the last 4 but only one was a stand out performance, when the anger really kicked in. This was more a fortitude game where not losing was the only result.
We controlled the game in the main but got suckered and lost it for a few minutes. We regrouped with some good football and took the game to them again. Only the ref's strange decision changed the point from going for the win to defending against a loss.
Some say 'Grinding', some say 'Professional', yet we are called uninspiring.
Fuck that, were through!
Again I wouldn't disagree with a word of that and yet it has to be the first time I've felt like turning off a City match with ten minutes to go because the entertainment value was zero and the end result was so evident. That's not right. That's not the way City make me feel.
I'm not angry with how things have gone this season. I think we are heading the right way, but we are looking a little jaded and predictable.
I think the fact we have now qualified could see us turn our attention to the league until the knockout stages next year and hopefully this will envigorate our form.
Hope so. There's something lacking at the moment, to put us in the top tier of teams in the world.
I've never felt that impatience before, so it is a bit disconcerting for me. Maybe it's the expectancy of what I feel will come under Pep. I like the rest of you can see the gaps that need filling in personnel but am probably spoilt by the kind of football that we have seen and want it all the time.
Listen, I didn't enjoy that tonight but I'll get over it. Let's do Burnley.
