Interesting that Pep still says he wants a left back. Has he completely given up on Mendy? I doubt Delph has much of a future with the Club, Too injury prone and this season when he’s played he hasn’t played well.

Completely in control. Would have liked another goal to make it more comfortable but Bournemouth never had a sniff.

Top of the league!

Did they even have a shot?

I’m watching Bein Sports and they’ve just said Bournemouth were the first team since 2003 not to have a shot in a home game.

First time in Bournemouth's history that they've not had a shot on target at home

Special mention to Gundobeckenbauer also.

He hold the middle together and has a fantastic 2019, so far.

Judging by Pep's pre-match comments, he has given up on Mendy and wants Gundo to extend his contract asap

On Mendy:

Today, he's not fit," said Guardiola. "It's not about (the physicality of) English football, it's the fact that he's not able to play, he's been injured during two seasons. If it happens in two seasons it can happen three, yeah definitely. Hopefully not, we'll work with that, he's working with that, but the truth is we could use him in a few games. That is the reality. At the end, the strongest guys, every day are there. That is the truth. That's why we are looking for, maybe, you know, for the next season.

Gundo:

I think Gundo, in the first season he couldn't play because of a tough injury, six or seven months out, but always when he was able to play a lot of games he is an incredibly important player. He knows what we want, he knows what we think about him but it's the same as other cases like we said in the past, at the end, the last decision is not in our hands. We try to speak with him, we want him to extend the contract right now. Yesterday would have been better than today, and today better than tomorrow. But if he doesn't want to, we cannot do anything else. If he was 100 percent (certain to stay), then the deal would have been done, we are still in negotiations.

Shocking. We had 82% possession as well. They didn’t even force a corner.

Iron defending

He does take on your opinion Carl , he just doesn't publicly acknowledge it.

MEN questioning whether Stones was actually injured. Strange tactical substitution if he wasn’t.

The commentator on the Joan I was watching said he had an ice pack on his thigh after he was subbed !

That could just be a precaution to reduce any possible swelling that may occur from his past injury

Never known a softer player than Kev. Typical of a ginger though.

Pep says Stones hasn’t got a significant problem, taken off more as a precaution. Thinks Kevin will be out for a while. Kevin, on the other hand, played his injury down. Make of that what you will.

another win, I don't care at this point how its done just as long as it is. Kev will just need a week off with any luck and to be fair he both looks like he needs it and its not a bad time either when you look at the fixtures. over to the dippers now, they must be looking over their shoulders for sure.

He'll sell him to Madrid for 200 mill in the summer.
