After that performance, or lack of, Burnley away looks a bit of a worry

Whilst we're still without our injured players we don't stand a chance.

New Year, players hopefully back, all out for the CL.

Sorry Beefy but the Shelve goal was shocking defending by us. Maybe not the defence as such but there is only one reason a player like Shelve is standing where he is and not one player saw danger before he got played in. If Rodri had been alert at all he would have went and stood on him.
Fernandinho at the back is the reason we are where we are just now. The midfield is lacking, the back four exposed and can't cope with it. Pep needs to throw off his stubbornness and play either Otamendi or Garcia at the back and let Fernandinho do what he does. And Silva has had his time, he's done now sadly and Foden should be getting a lot more time on he pitch.

That's not down to the defence, that was down to other players switching off or the tactics we adopt.

We are not working hard enough when we do not have the ball.
Our workrate when we do not have the ball is way down on what it was the previous two seasons.
I think that is a major issue that is resulting in us conceding goals.

Why? - Are we burnt out or to many key players are 'past it' or our spirit has been broken by Sky/PL/PIGMOL or Pep methods are to intense.....

I think our focus this year has switched to the CL. I bet we will be a different proposition in the knock out stages this year.
It would be great to win it after the way we have been shafted the past two years.

Yes!! Result!

And with Rodri injured he'll have to play Fred at number 6!

Why even the world cup winning Foden might get a game....

Pff, horrible news for Baldie. He might be fumming and actually play a decent lineup.
Imagine the fucking horror. Wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Honestly think Pep is doing this on purpose to prove some sort of point. The guy has shown he's a genius. He can't have just become thick overnight

I still think Jesus is not good enough, not a clinical finisher, drifts offside, cannot lead a line, I just do not see what fans see in him!

As a genius as he is, he showed some brainfarts that were above Mancini + Pellegrini + Hughes combined.
He has some blackout moments in really really key moments.

I agree, however, pep did not miss one on ones, or play like boots were on wrong foot like Mendy

Play the right lineup and the right tactics and we will win.
I think it is that simple for us.

At the moment we are playing the wrong lineup almost every game and most of all, we don't have a plan B.
We either manage to break teams with our style, or we don't. We don't know how to surprise and it is quite simple to play against us. You only need once chance and you will score.

Pep played Mendy and kept the inept cunt on the pitch all game -

Pep has been clueless for the best part of this season - actually ,let me re-phrase that , he’s been fucking clueless.

Dare I say it's not our year? Everything that could go wrong has done, I think our players are exhausted, 2 seasons of intense football has taken its toll and don't believe they have it in them to go again. Time to dust ourselves and plan for next season. If we can pick couple of cups then great, if not, it's paramount we get rid off injury prone players and deadwood and bring in fresh young blood and MOST IMPORTANTLY SORT THAT FUCKING DEFENCE. we must recruit the following:

Left back - get rid of Mendy
2 defenders - at least one top defender and get rid of otter (sorry Mase)
Top striker- ready to replace Aguero
Midfielder- play along KDB, Foden, Rodori (Fern if still got the legs), Gundo can go or settle on the bench.
Sort out Sane contract or replace him like for like

This thought has crossed my mind.

Like you say you dont just become a bad manager over night after winning Back to back Titles.

Remember how he persistently Hooked Sane for not tracking back ?

Now he tolerates half the side doing it.

Not only this he picks them week in,week out.

Sure we have injuries.Still Pep is making our situation worse.

Why is Fernandinho not playing in his natural position to try protect our shambolic defense.

Why has Gundogan i become such an integral part of our side all of a sudden

We are slow and predictable.

We also look unfit.

Sorry, Zabba, but I'm looking at you post with that quizzical smirk.

Are the reasons why not obvious? We're fucked with serious injuries and 2 years of high tempo football, I'm not sure what team could sustain this, but we're trying.

Beefy, we've easily the best squad in the league, one of the best in the world. And the best manager in the world. Injuries are part of football. Pep should be able to cope and so should the team.

I'm of the opposite opinion, mate. The injuries we have has are in key positions and them being out has lessened our ability to play through the parked bus. It's also brought our team effort down due to constantly having to play our secondary players.

Our team seems worn out, and after 2 seasons of total dedication, there has to be some give. This is what we are seeing now.
