Outstanding business.
What did they do mate? It’s literally his buy out clause. They didn’t negotiate it.
Won the race TBF

Exactly. He is, or will be on July 1st, a City player. Not Madrid. Not Chelsea. Not the rags. Not Barca. Not Bayern. Not PSG.
He is a bona fide superstar who chose us. The guys that work behind the scenes thus deserve full credit for getting the deal over the line

it's a no brainer to come to us. stable club that's winning things, amazing manager, kdb + foden (and others) to feed him, 375k/week, family ties, a promise that we won't stand in his way if madrid come calling when he's 26...

Can’t imagine it was hard to convince a kid that grew up in Manchester, supporting us and whose dad played for us.

Slow down . Superstar he is not. He may become one of the best players of his generation, at the moment he's a 21 year old that seems to pick up the occasional knock. Don't be putting labels on a youngster.
It wont do him any good if he's standing in the box and Cancelo or worse even the Zinc and Mahrez can't even get a cross in.
What excites me more is the possibility that he and our new Sergio replacement might be able to achieve. Two good football players with excellent ball control , unlike Razza.

If you play your cards right with the Economic power that the owners have and the world wide businesses they are involved in, it's not just the footy career rather the after footy career. Involved in promotions , business presence etc. I bet his dad is already being asked to help out with some apsects of business- deflecting some of those signing on fees he wanted as "Dad" to other business entities.
Case in point , Mike Summerbee, City legend , only happy to obilge in anything that is to do with City. Not a bad life eh ?
