What did they do mate? It’s literally his buy out clause. They didn’t negotiate it.

Exactly. He is, or will be on July 1st, a City player. Not Madrid. Not Chelsea. Not the rags. Not Barca. Not Bayern. Not PSG.

He is a bona fide superstar who chose us. The guys that work behind the scenes thus deserve full credit for getting the deal over the line

Convincing him to come has nothing to do with his cost though. That was set. The outstanding business would have happened whoever he’d gone to. Nothing to do with those two.

How do we know there was a race and that his mind wasn’t already made up on City? It’s literally just speculation. And I doubt a chat with either of those two convinced any player to sign for City. I’d imagine it was Pep and the fact his dad used to play for City.

I have to raise my hand and say I didn't think we were able to get him. I was certain money will talk, but I think he chose with his heart and that will count a lot in his time here.

Hope last years injuries are past him and when we sell him in 5 years, will be a world record.

it's a no brainer to come to us. stable club that's winning things, amazing manager, kdb + foden (and others) to feed him, 375k/week, family ties, a promise that we won't stand in his way if madrid come calling when he's 26...

Slow down . Superstar he is not. He may become one of the best players of his generation, at the moment he's a 21 year old that seems to pick up the occasional knock. Don't be putting labels on a youngster.

It wont do him any good if he's standing in the box and Cancelo or worse even the Zinc and Mahrez can't even get a cross in.

What excites me more is the possibility that he and our new Sergio replacement might be able to achieve. Two good football players with excellent ball control , unlike Razza.

7 stories on the BBC front page about Haaland signing. Are they okay? That treatment is usually only reserved for red shite.

180 odd goals before he is 22 suggests otherwise. Broken plenty of scoring records already and will in all likelihood break more over the next few years. The injuries he has had this season are a concern but it doesn’t detract from his scoring record.

The options we will have up front will be frightening which is why the media are trying to play this down. But make no mistake, this is a huge statement signing

The title got to me: Man City 'reach agreement' to sign £51m Haaland

I swear, I would buy billboard spaces in Manchester and Liverpool and put this on them.

If you play your cards right with the Economic power that the owners have and the world wide businesses they are involved in, it's not just the footy career rather the after footy career. Involved in promotions , business presence etc. I bet his dad is already being asked to help out with some apsects of business- deflecting some of those signing on fees he wanted as "Dad" to other business entities.

Case in point , Mike Summerbee, City legend , only happy to obilge in anything that is to do with City. Not a bad life eh ?

I’m still not over it if I’m being honest. Neither are we by the looks of our LBs though.
