Does anyone think the penny has dropped for PeP or will go back to reinventing the wheel ?

I'm dreading he will revert to being Pep of this season and tinker with our defensive line up.

Eddie Howe generous with his praise after the match. ‘With the ball they’re the best team in the Premier League’.

He always looked like a proper gentleman.
Great guy.

His hair is always neat and tidy, fairly honest appraisals, i'd shag him

Did not see that one coming great performance. Pep, leave that team alone, with the exception of Lewis at rb. Nico was very good just plugged the gaps and passed forward quickly. Marmouch Sav and Haaland up tip, play the ball quuckly and we run riot

Just back, and I've got to say that was our best performance all season. Couldn't fault anyone. Up front we were fluid, making space and getting runs in, none of the side to side stuff just outside their box. Erling really put a shift in. The defence looked solid, Stones was class and Khushanov looked impressive.
Nico was pretty superb, maybe that was why the defence looked so assured.
Both full backs had a good game, Rico is actually pretty class but too short and too slow to really excel at RB, although it didn't really matter against Gordon, and he bossed him all game.
Even Eds didn't give me any of the usual palpitations bar a too close for comfort pass out really early on.
The only real problem I can see with that team is Rico's lack of speed at RB.
And I forgot to mention Sav. He had a blinder.

Worth mentioning Bernardo wasn’t in the team and we smashed them…

I would stick to this exact lineup with Madrid. Maybe Khusanov on the right and Ruben back in.
No one else, no Kevin, no Bernie.

A taste of what was to come yesterday. 3 of the defence 22 and younger.
Nico and Phil giving legs and a proper DM in midfield and a fantastic young front 3.
When I heard the team announcement on the way to the game I was well pleased he had 3 of the new ones in. I think looking at Nico if he'd have played the other night it might have been a different result.
Marmoush is some player and Savinho again was an absolute joy, that full back would have had nightmares.
Shout out to Khusanov who hasn't let that first few minutes against Chelsea affect him and Rico who we were a bit worried at the start up against Gordon but kept him very quiet and was always an option for the ball.

Here’s Nico dishing out instructions to Stones and Khusa!

I assume Dias will come back. I’d keep Khusa at Right CB to protect Rico with his pace. Not ideal but not sure what else to do. Play Stones at DM allowing Nico a bit more freedom to go forward but a strong double pivot out of possession. I doubt Gundogan will start so I’d play Kevin knowing there was solidity behind him. Hes still got a pass or a shot and won’t be intimidated by the Bernabeu. Can bring on Doku or Gundogan or Bernie depending on the state of the match.

This.

I'm praying we go with the same team again and they keep the same shape.

Will PeP fuck that plan up ? hes rarely, if ever, kept the same winning team and shape from one week to the next.

Grealish hasn’t been in the team for months. That doesn’t really make sense - Bernardo has been in every week.
