He gets 10 out of 10 for effort today but he still needs to learn to play the easy ball at times...lost possession so many times.

Well Carl, he lost possession in the Rags half when being closed down by a few defenders. He took it to the Rags and they had to stay back. It's ok losing possession in the rags half though because he allowed the others to get reorganised as needed and a bit of a breather. Most importantly he showed a threat that the rags could not ignore as the game wore on. Like Semenyo, they both kept driving forward to take the pressure off, even if it didn't always result in a chance on goal. The time ebbs away and they rags get tired and complacent.

What a day- still absolutely buzzing. They've had so many decisions against us over the years. From Alty Taylor's constant pens for them to the Fernandez goal in the treble year when Akanji was tracking the 3 yard offside Gashford the whole time to the studs up on Doku last season and the Foden red card for retaliation for something far worse yesterday. Fuck em.

Anderson, Guehi, and Nunes magnificent. Much better from Dias. Diade was class when he came on, Erling was winning loads and provided some great lay offs then scored a beauty. Honestly don't get the " he doesn't do it in the big games". Arse home and away last season ( and the season before) last minute at Anfield, away at The Bernabau. The guy is the best in the world.

Thought the back 4 were tremendous yesterday. Very disciplined performance, marshalled fantastically by Dias. Enzo and Anderson were excellent too.

Officiating was abysmal. Why was Enzo given a yellow card when it was Maguire who instructed Enzo and then went over and clearly grabbed him (in the penalty area) whilst play was still going on. That for me was a clear penalty for Maguire's action, yet Oliver let it go! Incompetent referee, should be nowhere near the premier league

I beg your pardon, but that performance has nothing to do with incompetence, and you know your football way too much not to know it.
Oliver, imo, is the best English ref, always on the core of the game, which is the main skill of every good referee. And he proves it with good performances almost always when officiating in international matches, as much as he proves excellent when EXECUTING the ORDERS on domestic matches.

Some blunders from time to time, but imho, the best goalkeeper in the world.

We have, I think, three players in our squad that are, at the moment, best in the world on their position: Donna, Erling and Guehi.

Listen , I’m not slating him overall as he’s the best goal scorer there is but I was wound up yesterday as he put in little effort - pep would have mullered him for not getting into them , especially against them cunts.
It shouldn’t even be arguable , he did little to nothing to get stuck into them and spent most of the match walking.

Great goal but he needs to get involved more imo.

Someone should remind Slab head why every other player in the prem gets wound up with their buck toothed rat play acting in every single tackle against him.

Lots of refereeing fuck ups on show and a good win for us despite all the odds, it's no surprise we improved when Foden was sent off though. The last 30 or so minutes was exciting but that first half was an extension of the turgidness we witnessed against Coventry.
