No they don't. I nfact they were giving huge amounts of praise to us. They're not CityTV, it would be boring if they simply sucked our collective dicks all the time.

They 'suck the collective dicks' of Liverpool and the rags every time they play in Europe so why not us as well?

They tend to favor all English sides, us included. They gave us plenty of praise, stop being paranoid.

Praise my fucking arse. I think we should have tried to score ten & have left ourselves open to being knocked out but I've seen the rags play much worse & get nothing but praise from the same ilk of people, with no mention of the (lack of) quality of the opposition at all. Several of those people would have been happy to see us lose tonight.

Head to head with Napoli would be the same so would it be goal difference. If it is i think we might struggle.

Goal difference.

And that would mean we would go out probably

If City win in Naples in three weeks we qualify. Simple.

And - we are a goal better off than they are right now.

Yep win in Naples and it's sorted. But if we only get a draw there and a draw against Bayern I reckon we are out. That would make not going for more in tonight's training game a shame. Win in Naples it is then.
Which we would lose at the very least if we were to draw both remaining games and Napoli were to get a win and a draw.

Like you say, win in Naples and this all goes away.

Just to clarify the "What happens if we finish level on points thingy,

From the BBC site
Teams level on points are separated by:

1) The results of games between the teams in the tie (if tied, by goal difference and then by away goals counting double).

2) Goal difference in all group games.

3) Highest number of goals scored in all games.

4) Highest Uefa ranking over the previous five seasons.

So, a 2-2 draw agianst Napoli, and a draw against Munich would see us qualify

Got to watch the 2nd half on the FSC+ replay this evening.

The third goal was very impressive…Balo did very well on his first touch pass, i was worried he'd bottle it.

Im gonna say that I don't like Milner sitting deep. He did well defensively but i prefer him being able to come forward and perform well like he has the passed few games.

Nasri was underwhelmingly average again for me…I thought when Silva came off he'd do better, but no.

I don't think Savic was really tested this game..if at all..so I couldn't really gauge his performance but im glad he got a full run out.

I was worried about Balo in this game and early on i thought he got frustrated too early and became anonymous for a little. Second half he was better and I was surprised how he controlled his temper and emotions after getting a yellow in the first half.

Hopefully Silva's injury isn't too serious.

Interesting fact, our bench had 28 goals coming into this game, more than Villareal has scored all season thus far in all competitions combined. Nice.

Don't know what you're on about. Nasty had a very good game. Kept possession well, beat quite a few players with his dribbling, got stuck in a few times, and setup balo with a nice pass for the last goal.

I thought he kinda drifted out of the game..maybe it was cuz Silva was trying really hard and as a result commanded much of the ball most of the time or something. I dont know...back at Arsenal when i started watching Nasri and became a big fan of his i was almost always impressed with him but now that he's come in our side i havent been that impressed with him (2 or 3 games aside). maybe its because Silva is on the pitch with him casting a shadow over him.

It was a good pass to Balo for goal 3, you're right.

Thought Nasri did alright & could have had a couple, he'll be fine given a few games & an understanding of how we play.

Milner didn't really shine in the role he was given & thought De Jong started poorly & missed a few challenges, still looks rusty although improved as the game went on & looked more like himself at the end.

Slavic got plenty of the ball & won't enjoy as easy a 90mins as he got last night, will be good for his development & for Saturday

I thought Nasri worked hard but rarely created anything that wasn't obvious; mostly played passes you could see coming a mile off, to obvious runners, even when it would be better to do something else. His workrate was very impressive though & could really help.

Much as I love Nige's contribution, the difference Barry makes by turning defence into attack is huge & we look much more fluid when he plays there. Nige's value may be shown when we're in a backs to the wall situation though. In the end, as I've said before, what we need is a great player in that position, who can do the job of both, is 2 yards quicker, & scores goals. A Yaya Toure with energy.

Silva was too often left without a pass because we didn't get enough players close enough to him. He was twisting turning & getting caught. If we're going to try & play like Barca, that's just not on; they always have a group of players in contact with the man on the ball. It won't work otherwise & better teams will kill us. We support him better in league games & were still not as good last night for some reason, even though the oppo was below the standard we usually meet on a weekend.
