With everything that's been going on, refereeing decisions, a few losses, Gerard's tunnel altercation, not doing the press conference etc, it's being reported that Mancini is circumbing to the pressures of being at the top. For me, this is not the case only that Mancini is getting annoyed at what has been going on of late.

So, what are your views. Are the media trying to make something out of nothing or is there something behind it?

Mancini eat shit. Dzeko deserves to be standard in the team. such a player must play every match. baloteli is good, but he is not serious, and statistics show that the most valuable player Edin.

I'm for it, too. The phrase "statistics show that the most valuable player Edin" could only be built up by an online translator, it's not a mistake that a Bosnian with limited English skills could make. Basically, some villager is spamming with one phrase he's typed into Google translate, and will continue to do so, solely for his own purposes. I'm 99% certain the guy can't understand English, and has no inclination to (the other 1% of me thinks Slim has finally cracked).

How many times have you heard that said about United, give up a cup for the league? That just said to me how desperate the media are for United to win it, and us to not.

Mancini is public enemy number 1 as the face of our establishment and is treated accordingly by the press. Maybe this pressure will actually start to tell on United and due to their arse-wipe reporters wanting it so much they are now inadvertently saying that their team is not good enough to do both. Should we follow suit and concentrate on the league, I'm not sure.

Whilst I sympathise and to a degee conceed to the right honarable gentleman, personally I reckon (with regards to para 1) that that is just more mind game bollox. Whilst the league is theres (and our) priority, we know they are a bastid for any double pot chance and are more than capable of trying to pull it off and whilst we are still in that, it means alot to them. They will have Scholes and Giggs for the next leg (so the media can have another 'moment' with the kleenex) and can see a 2-0 win. The media, whilst spouting about Bacon/Manu mindplay have fallen for a lame suckerpunch and are duly being played now they are top, and doing their bidding ... it's almost election type propagander!

(with regards to para 2) I don't think Mancini is enemy number 1, in fact of all the shite I've read and had said to me off mates, people in the street etc about our cash, in the main they quite like Mancini, he's not bad at the mindbollox himself tbh. So summise ... yes, we should go for both as they undoubtedly will and their line up in the return will bear this out ....

You could be right but as I read this I'm listening to the morning paper brief on TS where they've just started off with an article on Tevez and Mancini possibly taking him back. The way it's put across is basically saying Mancini is a man without morals and although they mention 'pragmatist' they then bat it off in a manner to suggest we are desperate. Then follow the Taggart love in, Sir Alex, the Old Man, the slimy sniggering of 'The Master of Mind Games' comments sliver from their tongues. Yes, Mancini bought some credit with the Tevez situation but remember when the card waving incident happened, they were all over him like a flash and it's only the manner in which Mancini holds himself that they don't give it him more. He plays the media and gives them no stick to beat him with.

Everybody is saying how well Mancini has played the Tevez situation but it strikes me that because of our manager's emotional outburst on that night, we lost the services of our most prolific striker for five months, and halved his value. How was that clever?

I'm trying to work out the same. Regardless how it happened, Tevez was at fault and then decided to disappear. Was that Mancini's fault, I think fucking not.

I'm saying I don't think he handled it well. His "Tevez won't play for this club again' comment was not wise at all.

What was he meant to say? It's fine you can refuse to do what I ask you to do?! Look where I got Chelsea - player power always needs nipping in the bud & we improved immensely as a 'team' for it, not as a group of very good players who totally relied on Tevez - the press said it would derail our season, it didn't but has the potential to go either way now

Tevez has wasted five months not playing.
He would certainly have been useful when Balo and Dzeko were both out in January, as we went out of both cups.
He could have had scored the goals to have us ten clear at the top.
Aguero has needed a rest for a good while now, but we look worse without him.
We were looking for 50 million for him in the summer, but now desperately scratching about for anybody to cough up 25 million.
And for what? He may well end up playing for us again, and then getting his cut price move anyway. In the meantime we are paying big wages and getting fuck all back. All this for the league's top scorer and a £50m striker!
What a waste for everybody concerned.
He should have kept his immediate thoughts to himself and dealt with it calmly afterwards.

Tevez has screwed my MCFC part of the brain well as mush as poss. Tevez would have had us 12 points clear, he would have Eaten Sunderland away, Terrified Heitinger and Hibbert which was a disgrace the scouse twats got away with that, Swansea he would have bollocked our way to a draw minimum, oh and Bolton Balo missed 5 goals, which Tevez would have had all day. He has to come back as looking back in anger is not what anyone wants.

No he didn't, but his comments contributed to the problem. Maybe a more measured reaction that was less public wouldn't have left everybody with such a hardened stance.
It was a costly statement.

He wins almost universal acclaim within the game for the way he handled the situation, yet we still have City fans on message boards saying he got it wrong.

Fuck sides, it's about what's right and what's wrong and Mancini was right to stop pandering to player power. Like he said himself he was perhaps to good to him, that's the only fault Mancini has/had when it comes to T***z.

I see Mancini keeping the players in Portugal instead of flying straight back has got little attention.
Apparently the players trained hard in searing heat which is probably why we were sluggish for most of the game till last 10 mins.

Why did he keep us back instead of flying straight back... that's what I want to know.

"searing heat"? It was fucking 17 degrees over there! Even as a party ginge that wouldn't have me reaching for the sun cream.
