Milan not only trying to pinch Balotelli on the cheap but also trying to make us have Kevin Prince Boateng.

Bastards.

Plunty was very very evasive.

Could have just said he's not going anywhere but instead said he'd not heard anything about it.

All the rumours suggest we're losing money - maybe there's some performance clause or something to try a claw a bit back if the rumours are true.

I don't care, as long as we have a replacement.

I don't think we want their whole team, just that lad up front with lots of potential.

I have often made note that you don't have an original thought in your head. Seems I was wrong, however when you do have an original thought, it doesn't really make sense.

We're not 'losing' money. He cost around £25m, although I assume some of that was based on number of appearances and, hopefully, how well we did in Europe. 5 year contract, worst is £5m a season. He's got 2 1/2 years left, so he's 'worth' £12.5m to an accountant. Anything more than that is an accounting profit.

In footballing terms, is he really worth more than £20m? If he played for another team, would you want us to pay £20m for him, based on everything we've seen?

That said, I'd want a decent sell on amount, just in case he ever sorts his head out.

I'd like us to have a decent chance of grabbing a replacement if needs be, without having to worry too much about the fee and FFP. If we are playing hardball over our valuation of him then I approve. 'Youth' and potential still have a premium. I assume an Italian player signing for an Italian team would have some extra value to a club looking to play regularly in Europe too.
