He's in America.

They are trying to get his medical done over there.

Really testing out the homesickness, eh? Send him to Mongolia for a week as part of the medical and see if he has a mental breakdown

Im curious how this will affect Zabaleta (and Micah). Zabaleta has really improved going forward over the last couple of seasons and was scintillating last season. however, when he goes forward alot of his success came from having the space to operate as the midfield in front of him packed it in the middle. Now, Navas is a legit winger and will be occupying that once-free space. I have no idea if he will be starting the majority of games for us but since Zaba will, I wonder how this Navas & Zaba partnership on the right will affect Zaba's play. I might be inclined to put Navas on the left so he can cut in like Robben and cross and that allows Clichy to stay back and do what he does best: defend, and it would allow Zaba to keep going forward (but i guess that would kinda hinder the attempt to inject width into the side as our out-and-out winger would be coming inside).

Navas played with Alves which necessarily doesn't mean anything, but considering Alves's defensive frailties or whatchamacallit, Navas is probably used to playing with an offensive right-back and to cover for him. And to make space for him.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

But I believe Jesus Navas had his medical in New York yesterday, and passed, to take him very close to completion of an £18m move to
